She came here at the age of four. She broke no laws. She is a smart girl and will probably get herself a good job if she continues to do this well in school. Her brother has served in Afghanistan and risked his life for Americans, yet America shows it is ungrateful and deports her?

I'm fine with the latter, but our immigration laws are pathetic and inhumane, making it so difficult to get into our country is heinous.

My principles supercede all else, including our silly laws in hopes that one day they'll change.

That immigration helps employment is merely a statement of fact. If you want to blame something for our low jobs numbers, you can assign part of that blame to our draconian immigration laws.

 

Of course there is no such thing as a free market in practice, but conceptually we all understand what people mean. Many people within the party of free market and small government rhetoric, support a massive government intervention in the market, and a massive government expansion in order to round up and deport millions of people. It is absurd.


However, moving beyond my partisan point now(still accurate though), I agree with you completely. We should have open borders with checkpoints, ensuring illegal materials and criminals don't cross the border. Then we could aggressively ensure no one crossed outside those checkpoints, and could assume anyone trying was a serious criminal(not just a normal person looking for work).

 

WTF are you talking about?. The 14A says nothing about education. In fact the whole constitution says nothing about education. Education is purely a state matter and the SC had no right forcing americans to educate people that aren't even allowed to be here. The court took a bribe like they do on every issue.

You can buy school records on every street corner. Not that it will matter anyway. If we decide to grant amnesty to illegals that came here as kids, no documentation will be required . The govt will just take their word on it.

Many non-citizens are in the armed forces...many are naturalized while serving.
