    You're dreaming if you think people weren't defending Hassan. They were looking for any excuse possible to explain his attack, because they couldn't live with the reality that he was a violent Islamist who killed soldiers while screaming "Allahu Akbar!" The same thing with the would-be Times Square bomber. They were looking to blame his mortgage problem, his divorce, his job — anything besides his video tape where he was praising jihadists and expressing his willingness to become a martyr.

    Sorry Charlie. He was wrong for what he did, and he will pay. But, he has a brain injury and he was most assuredly giving off warning signs that he was about to snap. I wager that he was told to shut up, ruck up, and move out. This is a leadership failure because he was not identified as being unfit for combat duty by his chain of command, just as it was in the case of Maj. Hasan. There are lots of careers that over because of this incident. He should never have been in that place, with that assignment, under those conditions. And you have no perspective of his condition and the effects of his experiences on his psyche, because you have never spent even a fraction of a second in his boots. Leftists are rambling on about their outrage over this, and not a word about what happened to Tucker in Iraq, or Danny Pearle in Pakistan. The Islamo's are the victims and not the perpetrators. The pretenteous moral outrage of the left is meaningless and non-existant.

    An American soldier that murders 16 people - 9 of them very small children - doesn't deserve any support.

    He killed children. 9 of them. HE is responsible for the crime.

    Calling people leftist losers... just shows how pathetically some of you won't acknowledge reality. Murderer. 9 very small children. 16 dead.

    Thank you for proving my point. The reality is far different than the mouth breathing Obama voting leftist losers pretend it to be. Yeah, it was a horrible thing, no doubt about it. But what led to it is equally tragic. But leftists sit back in their easy chairs judging those who have placed themselves in harms way, and then snivel about the outcome when incidents like this occur, this man is a better person that any clueless inept leftist will ever hope to be.

    They are wrong to defend any of these actions, all are equally reprehensible. Committing violent acts against innocent people in retaliation for violence makes no sense. It doesn't matter what "side" is doing it, its nonsense.

    Looking for an excuse (or reason) as to why a person would do such a thing, is a way for people to rationalize something terrible.

    To be clear. You understand a man who killed 9 kids with shooting a girl at point blank range in the temple.

    Most of the other drivel can be ignored, mostly trolling. I expected as much and defence for military etc..
