What should the government do? What is its role? Regulation or allow people to have freedom of choice? But are there exceptions to freedom of choice? Why?
We absolutely must legalize drugs in the name of freedom and liberty, but in order to do so we have to first set up the right infrastructure. If we decide to live in a city on-top of water like Venice, we would have to install platforms to raise up our houses, make the houses able to go higher by using a lift to compensate for possible rises in the water level, etc. The point is that we need to set up the infrastructure for the change to occur, improving education is at the root of the changes, regulations and restrictions come second. This mainly applies to heroin, crack, and meth; they could be legalized now but the legalization might not be successful without the proper infrastructure set up. Weed should be legalized now. This isn't only about drugs, we have to raise and educate the future generations so well that they can co-exist intelligently, productively, and efficiently in all aspects of life. We need to educate them to the point that even if they decide to smoke crack, they would not become an addict, and they would still be a valued member of society.
Cigarettes are said to be much more addictive. Will power, mind over matter, discipline, self-restraint, and making life conscious decisions. I bet there are plenty people who could touch the stuff and never try it again in their entire lives. Even Obama did coke before. Having over 7.3 million people in the justice system shows that there is a inherent problem in with our policies.
Well, I guess if it's said it must be so. And, I wouldn't blame cocaine for Barack Obama. Get back to me when you have a plan to smoke crack and avoid addiction.
I assume you meant the Federal Government; Therefore, the "government" should not have any say over any of the items. It should be up to each individual state.
K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid. We should have the freedom do anything we want as long as it does not harm another person. if anyone else is harmed, there should be a price to pay. Growing up I thought the word "freedom" meant exactly that. As an adult, I see it was just another lie.
I voted for all but the top option in the poll. I don't even know why anyone's trying to illegalize alcohol, it didn't work out so well last time.
I always say; if your skin in not in the Game, you don't have a right to complain. Therefore, do what spectators do, be a Cheerleader.
