Hoarding money is just a symptom of a bigger problem. Even Americans won't buy thingamajigs when they need to save money.

The problem is how do we push people up into their financial safety zone with minimal cost and effort by the government and minimum breaking of the fragile economy?

 

2x on the idea that consumer spending is the key to correcting the economic down turn.

But illegaqls send the money to Mexico, so that doesn't help here.
Hiring more gocernment employees doesn't help because their pay must come from the nTaxes, not the business community.

Only raising everyone;s salary will pump large sums intotthe economy.

The government is the one entity that can make wages for everyone go up, by increasing the Min Wage.
All other salaries will rise too.

This is the one thing that will make everyone;s mortgage seem do-able and with double the pay over the next 8 years, the GNP will double, taxes collected will double, houses will double, and pold debts will easily be paid off.

 

Walter still takes Obama seriously but he is part of a shrinking minority of Americans.

 

All I gotta say is when you vote in November, don't forget to pull that Thingamajig to cast your vote.

This is the worst president to lead a nation ever developed by any political party.
Borrow and spend..somebody else will pay for it..
For the record..I live 70 miles north of where he spoke..I didnt TURN ON MY FURNACE last year instead heated with WOOD PELLETS and saved over $1,000 in a mild winter.

That is the lesson he should be speaking about..not spending money you dont have...

What rational inteeligent and wise people need to do is forget about politics, and start promoting on the internet the ideas that neither Romney nor Obama are even considering as a solution to the economic problem in the whole Western world.

Problem: People are too scared and worry to spend their money or borrow on credit for big items, like cars, Homes, vacation property, etc.

Solution:

Give every working person pay raises.

Plan:
Increase the Minimum Wage for the 80 million Unskilled laborers.
The min wage has not be raised in accord with the past policy of doublingthe wages every ten years.
This stopped when the women entered the work force in 1960.
The excess labor flood the market and hence, wages were allowed to remain, effectively reducing Unskilled Labor wages accordingly, to about half the rate.


That will require salary raises for Skilled Labor, the Professionals, the Managerial Staff Workers, etc.


First, the minimum wage has not increased fairly and as it had always done since 1940.
The big slow down in raising the Min Wage began in 1960, when the women entered and doubled the Unskilled Work Force.
Employers had twice the Labor Pool, so wages were ultimately cut in half since then.
