Palestinians have absolutely no such claim. Palestinians aren't even a "race" or "people" or "nationality" - and no such claim has even been attempted until recently. Furthermore, Jews were BUYING the land known as Palestine, from the Ottoman Turks in the early 1800s. So who owned the land? Those who bought it, perhaps?

Those who, today, call themselves Palestinians were nothing more than migrant workers who came to work for the Jews in the 1800s. Later, the British gave these people - and others like them who were fleeing Saudi Arabia - parts of what was known then as Jordan. From that point on, the "Palestinians" have waged constant war on the Jews. Were the "Palestinians" there pre-1948? Yes, just like the Jews were.
