From my review of the scriptures, I can't remember where Jesus ever claimed to be a Christian. In fact, I can't find where he ever used the word. He did tell Peter to build a church on "this" rock, but the rock wasn't in Rome because Jesus was never in Rome, so who knows if Jesus actually told Peter anything. I see Jesus more as a practicing Buddhist.

 

Who knows? Both are Abrahamic. Both have a fascination with death. Neither like pork. I guess the difference is the preference for beheading vs stoning.

 

Muhammad 570 – 632 A.D. Jesus was born a half millennium before the religion was founded. Both Christianity and Islam are based on Judaism which is millennia older than both of them. That does mean they are the same religions. They do all share the belief of a single god though.

Jesus was a solar hero, anyway, not a real man. Thus, there is no point in getting overly excited about whether he was a Muslim or not.

 

Ya ya we know it's a good way for Muslims to assimilate aspects of other religions in their Islamic Imperialist process of Arabization of those they've conquered, but it doesn't make it true, the fact remains that not only does the word "Muslim" not mean monotheism, but the teachings of Allah described by Mohammad alone prove that it was not the same God as that of Jesus.

 

It certainly is interesting to watch one jealous monotheistic religion attempt to consume another, even while the other tries to consume it, rather than each letting the other live unmolested, isn't it? Kind of like watching two king snakes try to feed on one another..

 

If that's true, then that means that all Jews, Mormons, and Christians are Muslim too.

Well .. according to Christian Doctrine since Constantine .. Jesus was God. I suppose we could say he followed himself but that is not real satisfactory.

 

I'm sure in due course , they Saudis might consider the possibility , IF + when other monotheists can learn to conduct themselves respectfully and not misbehave as they're inclined to do at other religious sites.
