"After an extensive year-long nationwide research project, William J. Benson discovered that the 16th Amendment was not ratified by the requisite three-fourths of the states and that nevertheless Secretary of State Philander Knox had fraudulently declared ratification." http://www.thelawthatneverwas.com/
Can anyone tell when this law was passed exactly? I think this question deserves the thread of its' own? if it won't be answered.
The income tax replaced a collection of other taxes that were fairly random and affected the lower class far more than the upper class. One of the taxes that was gotten rid of was a meat tax.
Dont you know how to google? Try "wiki sixteenth amendment". Also check out this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_protester_Sixteenth_Amendment_arguments
Most things the Federal government does is unconstitutional. The 10th amendment requires that States give the Federal government the right to do things. Today the Federal government passes laws without first getting the permission to proceed from State governments.
There were two different lines of court cases regarding the constitutionality of the 16th amendment and both lines were dismissed by the courts. Basically its been ruled that the 16th Amendment is constitutional. Sorry
Ask Wesley Snipes if income tax is unconstitutional. Even if it is, it doesn't matter. You better pay Uncle Sam.
