Anti-gun hysteria gone too far... Cops at Denny's

Cops banned from Denny's.

Really? Now COPS are not even allowed to bring their service weapons into this "gun-free zone?"

 

Well, that's a relief. Maybe the criminals will follow these new laws.

 

Aw, for gawd's sake......now if someone started a fight, tried to hold up the place or whatever, they'd be calling the cops back and telling them to be sure to bring their guns... stupid! stupid! stupid!

 

I go to greek town in chicago to buy gyros. Its awesome because not only are the gyros great, but police go there too. Even though the neighborhood is teaming with homeless people, I feel a little safer knowing there are 2-3 cops in the restaurant carrying firearms.

 

Bet if a AWB is passed they will know what its like not being aloud to have their guns, even if its only at Dennys. Cops don't get any sympathy from me for being treated they way most of us are treated everyday.

 

The good news is that Denny's discriminates against everyone.

So what, it does not give them carte blanche to go where ever they want on non official police duty on private property. Its ironic they got a taste of what its like for you average citizen not being allowed to take their CC handguns in certain gun free zone. I hope they remember what it feels like to be told to leave because of their guns.

What's the difference between armed police officers having a meal, and the same officers responding to a call at Denny's? Are they worried that one of the officers will snap and shoot the place up if they're disappointed with their meal? Do they expect the officers to disarm themselves before entering the premise while responding to a call there?

Well hopefully the next time Dennys ever needs police help for any reason the police respond back to them by phone and tell them they no longer do business with them.

Denny's can do as they want. All the detectives had to do was go somewhere else. They chose to whine like little girls instead. What a bunch of (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*).

 

This makes no sense. Dennys is a for-profit franchise trying to make money. The police are a group paid by us tax payers to protect the public. The police do not get the choice on WHOM they want to protect, as that would mean they were not police, they were hired muscle.

It's a good point. Too many coppers think that they're somehow above the law when on duty and don't realise the law as regards private citizens and their property. It might spark outrage and calls for bans on attending Denny's but so what? The management can do this. They can also expect police to treat them exactly like any other citizen when their services are needed. Anything less is corruption.
