Hey, I really want to control guns a lot more, how can I go about forcing more controls on gun owners? I want to limit the number you can have and force people to be accountable for where they are, and be forced to lock them up in their homes. Has anyone congressman tried to bring real reform? How can we do it?

You mean you want to control people, something typical of control freaks. Let me know when controlling law abiding citizens does anything to stop criminals. Your discordant belief system is showing.

You good citizens are not all that good with them in your possession.

I do want to control this. It will stop "law abiding" from harming themselves and others by their irresponsible behavior (as a whole).

Meanwhile, you need to be strapped to a chair to keep from harming others. You have now let us know that you are dangerous because you are a law abiding citizen.

If I have a proven track record of harming people, that would def. be prudent...

I don't see how this translates into wide sweeping generalizations about gun owners.

Are you a male? If you did, it would predicate you towards being unsafe in a car so you, though law abiding, shouldn't be able to drive. I can even show statistics that men are more dangerous drivers. They drink and drive more, they crash their vehicles more often than women, and are more likely to be a reckless driver.

    http://www.crashstuff.com/men-versus-women-drivers-car-accidents-statistics/

See what I did there? I take away your whatever because someone else has a perceived danger from you owning that whatever. Go ahead and continue making wide sweeping generalizations about gun owners. I will continue to refute your argument that:

If you want to do something about gun VIOLENCE, then that is a different story. Start cracking heads in the justice department and actually put people in jail and punish them for using firearms in a felony.

No need for that, you have the capability of harming people so something needs to be done right away.

Why would number of guns be much of a problem to a criminal? The only type of people who would be adversely effected would be hunters. Most hunters I know own numerous guns, because each type of game has an ideal gun. For example, different types of shotguns are used by quail hunters, duck hunters and turkey hunters. Deer hunters use different types of rifles than squirrel hunters or elk hunters. How are you going to enforce "forcing people to lock up guns in their homes." Are you going to advocate jackbooted federal officers knocking down doors for inspection?

How about keeping criminals in prison, and have the guts to actually involuntarily incarcerate those mentally ill who need it? That would help us a lot better than banning inanimate objects.

There are approximately 300 million guns in the U.S. Last year we had about 8000 gun murders. Assuming each murder was a different gun (not a valid assumption, but easier to calculate), that means on average 0.00002667 murders were committed per gun. The "law abiding" are pretty responsible.

Is this another one of those people trying to fake being an extreme lefty to get a point across???? Being new here I'm just not sure what to think some times.

Do you REALLY think that law abiding citizens are the ones you need to take guns away from?

Yeah, how many people have my guns hurt? Better question, do you even know the percentage of guns used in crime/murder were legal or even stolen from someone who legally owned them? Do you realize the amount of gun owners there are in America and how many guns are owned?

Your just spitting out very irrational statements and it sounds to me like you have not really delved into the whole situation much.

I was doing that on a right-wing hate site ... you know, the type of Sarah Palin-lover that says the penalty for walking past a baby and not buying him a gun should be death, etc. and acting like a right-wing knuckle-dragger, saying things like, "Anybody that ain't got a gun in every room of his house and two on his hip is a anti-Amurcan commie dog and oughtsta be shot on sight!" Amazing how many of those hairy-knuckled clowns thought I was serious.

I am basing it on statistical information which heavily implicates general gun owners are a major problem with the supply of guns.

Ok, what statistics? Source? Don't like to biased groups link the Mayors Against Illegal Guns or The lolBrady Campaign against Gun Violence. They are about as slanted of a source as you can get.

If you are basing your crap on stats, you obviously don't know how to read them. Tell me what country has banned guns and made it worked. You cant , it has never happened.

The crime problem here in the US is not because of the supply or exsistance of guns, it because there is an oversupply of criminals, gangs and narcotics that Great Leader and his leftist partry will not control.

Why not ask your liberal/communist NYC congressman for a real gun control law that would punish members of street gangs who use any gun in a crime to be punished the same as if they caught with a non-registered machine gun?

Wrong. Statistically speaking, gun owners aren't doing a good job at keeping their guns out of the hands of criminals. I want laws to be changed to where owners should feel some serious concern in selling their guns to the wrong people. I also want them to lock up their guns or at least be required to keep them in a safe when they are not home (still working on that one in my head).

PS> Why do people have to be (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s and say things like "liberal / communist" ? I'd rather be that than a slack jawed, slow speaking southern/mid-west redneck neo nazi any day ;-)

Who cares, I don't want to ban guns. Can you learn how to read. Also I don't even agree that less guns equates to more crimes because the US has the MOST guns and the MOST gun homicides (only counting wealthy nations).

So guns aren't primarily being used in crimes and crimes that lead to murders ? What are people using? :eyesroll:
