Heard on this mornings news---you cant have an Easter egg hunt anymore.

Can any liberals explain to me why they have to try to ruin all of our traditions??? If you are "offended" by an Easter egg, why dont you just hid under your bed until a week from Mon and leave the rest of us alone with our traditions???

Basically you are premtively trying to think of all the ways someone can be offended and then making decisions on that moronic notion. And 99.99999% of the time any decision effected by PC is the wrong decision. Working in marketing for so long, seeing how the shift has happened makes me sad.

there is no law stopping any private entity from having an Easter Egg hunt that is a lie. Lying about it is just another way the Christian right plays victim in our culture. I am sorry that you don't have a stranglehold on everything anymore. But when Christmas takes over stores in October and Easter dominates the spring complaining because a government entity no longer wants to promote an exclusive event for Christians sounds not only hollow but down right stupid. Actually, I did not hear that, but I was unable to find a news story where Easter egg hunts were cancelled at the behest of them damn, dirty liberals.

Do you mean to tell me that Christianity aligned it's religion to usurp the festivals of other religions? Why, next thing you know, folks are going to find out that the virgin birth myth predates Jesus and appears in several other religions before Christianity.

 

I suppose we could look at things this way....or perhaps the young no longer accept this new conservatism (which does not much resemble what I grew up with), and thus you see few of them following the fathers path.
The problem will be a slow decline of conservatism as members of the club die off and are not replenished.

 

Conservatism will eventually die off because people are seeing that it is nothing more than a load of (*)(*)(*)(*). Economically and socially Conservative policies do not work and are a disaster. It really takes and anti-American fool to continue espousing those ideals.
