Andrea Tantaros flipped out during her radio show and actually incited violence against Obama supporters.

“Fox said, we’re targets, clearly Media Matters and others have put us on a target list. And they said, ‘Oh, Fox is just crazy! They’re just paranoid!’ Really? Are we? This is what is happening to our press! This is Obama’s America! It’s like the Soviet Union. He said he would change the country. He said it. And a lot of people voted for him. And if you see any of those people today, do me a favor, punch them in the face.”

Tantaros later doubled down on her call for violence after a listener called in to tell her that her request isn’t such a good idea.

“To be clear, I didn’t say punch Obama in the face,” Tantaros told the caller. “You’re going to get me arrested with this type of government. If someone voted for him! If anyone that you know who voted for President Obama, smack ‘em down.”

When one makes their living through use of language, developing an understanding beyond Dick, Jane and Sally comes in quite handy.

It's sometimes difficult to grasp, but if she so angers you my guess is your radio has controls to either select another voice to listen to or to create silence from the speaker.

Worse yet is to listen to people who selectively edit to further their cause and become so inflamed by THEIR read on a third parties statement of opinion.

Aside from excerpts of her show, clips or obvious hyperbole, what EXACTLY did she say that you disagree with.

What's the story behind the snippets? What was the context of her extravagant speech?

 

I find the best way to listen to Andrea on the radio is to picture her in bra and panties.

 

That has to be a heck of a lot better than doing the same with Candy Crowley or Rachael Madcow....

Well first off, she is a talk show host, not a news commentator. She does not report the news but rather entertains using the news and, takes a stand, a controversial one and waits for people to take the bait and phone in to give their take.

Second, when she said " And if you see any of those people today, do me a favor, punch them in the face.” to me it means that if I wish to do her a favor I could punch them in the face providing I knew which ones were supporters of Obama during his election. I, as an adult make my own choice and I choose first, not to tune into entertainment shows of this sort and two, not to do them any favors as I am certain that she is not coming over to my home this evening or any other evening to do me any favors. Third, and most telling is that those who feel she has 'ordered' people to take action must also buy into the koolaid drinking premise premise that they are receiving orders that must be obeyed via these means. to them I doubt their sanity in any way much less be ale to discern reality from fact.

Carry on though, she was giving orders right?

Notice how quickly the right wing turned the conversation to attacking the looks of people who they disagree with and then stupid remarks about IQ. Funny there was even one who thought commentator was not opinion. This woman, I don't know who she is, made these comments as a shock jock would but they are flame thrower language and stupid. Didn't Fox however lose their minds when Trumpka said take em out, claiming it was a call to violence?

But here is the thing, I voted for the President. Let one of her sheep try and punch me. I wonder what their final thoughts will be. Will they feel stupid for following an idiot on the radio? Will they wonder if their family can sue Fox News? It is funny, these tough guys and gals at Fox are like the middle school bully, talking big, using naming calling and stupid jokes, and acting like children, but when challenged collapse and whine. Tell you what Ms whoever you are. I will put a call out to anyone seeing you in the city to walk up and spray paint the work IDIOT on her.
