Dear Liberals: What Should He Have Done In This Situation?

My cousin (whom we'll call John) was eating lunch in a diner, minding his own business, when all of a sudden a small group people came up and started harassing him.

His crime?

He dared to wear a shirt with the word NO-BAMA written on it in big blue letters.

So anyway, he's minding his own business, eating his cheeseburger and fries, when one of them says to him, "Hey -- what's your problem, a**hole?"

John looked up. "Excuse me?" he said.

Suddenly, a woman in thick-framed glasses swiped her hand at his plate, knocking half the fries off. "You're a dog," she said. "Eat 'em off the floor."

John put his burger down and sighed. "Look. I'm sorry if I've done something to offend you people--"

"Oh, look," said a third person from the group. His belly hung over his jeans and jiggled a bit. "He said, 'you people.'"

John rolled his eyes. The idea of taking abuse from these strangers made his skin crawl, but he knew he had to be the better man; people of his persuasion had a hard enough time in society as it was. And besides, he'd seen liberal protestors on tv, how they tended to get violent when in mobs. The last thing he needed was to get bruised up during his lunch break.

He pulled out his wallet and waived to the waitress. "Excuse me, miss?"

"Damn," said the woman. "Little p*ssy's gonna run away. Can't take the heat. Typical Re-puke-li-can't **********."

John paid for his meal, left the waitress a tip -- he hoped that none of his harassers would pocket it -- and walked for the front door.

The group followed after him.



What would you do?

This experience is nothing new, there are tens of thousands of veterans returning from the Vietnam War who experienced the same kind of treatment from liberals back during the 60's and early 70's.

well if he had to walk home in the dark after leaving the diner and he went into fight or flight mode cause they were still following him, I guess they could pull a z and claim self defense in Florida

I would wake up from my dream and return to reality where none of this actually happened.

The Red Party is planning to roll out the "law and order" platform in 2014. I see they want you to send the police after everyone who isn't a member of the Red Party before those people "get you." That is why you are making up these hypothetical situations.

 

Progressives are cowards. But they are dangerous in large groups. Give them the power of a group and they will hurt an individual. Guve them the power of thr whole collective and they will and have murdered millions.

 

Yet it is the "law and order" Republicans who constructed the largest prison system in the history of mankind.

My first instinct would be like: Nooo my foood! You big bullies someone must stand up against you. Attack, rawr! But then I'd also remember that whoops! I would go to jail for assault so I wouldn't do that.

So, instead I suggest you get names and face descriptions of the people if you can. Call the police, don't be shy. You're also well within your rights to walk away to help diffuse the situation, but don't leave a crowded place for a deserted one especially if they try to follow you. Don't follow them if they leave. You know, good old fashioned safety advice.

 

I'd stop making up stories about my cousin.

Someone else did, there was an actual case in 2008 of someone being beaten for wearing a "No-Bama" tee shirt... which leads me to believe that the OP is either making it up, or it's one of those emails that come around and some idiot posts it on a debate board, pretending its real.

I wouldnt have left the establishment, for starters. By this time tonight, either a funeral would be in the planning stages for me or I would be bawling like a baby, to my mother, on the phone, in prison.
