So you believe that NOFX and Type O Negative are special... or should have been arrested?

I'm all for freedom of speech, but you're kinda grasping at straws here.

No you can not. Go ahead say you want to kill a person who lives in a very large house that happens to be white and good luck let me know how the inside of Gitmo looks.

No surprise the arrest happened in New York. New York is not known for being very tolerant when it comes to free speech.

Kill all the lawyers covers a great many of them.

    That was Shakespeare.

The ONLY speech worth protecting is dangerous speech.

That isn't fire. The USSC agrees wholeheartedly with me... lest they consider Jefferson quotes hate speech.

The man allegedly made a "terroristic threat" on Facebook and the NYPD was monitoring the social networking site after the George Zimmerman verdict to contain a possible riot situation. After the Woolwich murder, EDL activists made similar threats on Facebook and some mosques were actually attacked and police cannot underestimate these threats to public safety posed by violent online comments.

No. Patrol the site. That is what we pay you to do. If there is a specific threat, handle it.

Kill all the white people is not a specific threat and is absolutely constitutionally covered. 2 live crew is covered. The KKK is covered. NAMBLA is covered. You are *******ned right you are free to make a mockery of yourself.

    Kill all the momentary Tibetans.

When has inciting violence ever been protected under free speech?

    Since the founders demanded it.

Are you attempting to get me to say somethig terrible?

    I will.

I think there is no greater threat to our free nation than Barack Obama.

The difference between me and them, is that I will take a bullet for my CiC if I am that lucky,
    I still mouth dangerous things.

It's because in the one instance out of 100 where someone makes such a threat and then goes through with it, everyone yells and screams "HE ANNOUNCED A THREAT ONLINE - WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY DO ANYTHING?!?!?!?" etc....

Some of the founders where very discriptive when addressing what should be done in the face of tyranny. And for the most part, I agree with them. But, this case isn't about state sponsored repression. This is about some wackjob on face book calling for the death of whites and cops, because he didn't like the outcome of the Zimmerman trial. Once again, calling for the incitement of violence against innocent people is not protected speech. Never has been.

Sorry, but you're confused. The founding fathers believed in free speech, and they certainly believed in revolting against a repressive government when necessary, but they didn't believe a person had the right to threaten to kill individuals.

I swear some of you need to either A) get a better understanding of history or B) just go away so that rational people can work to put this country back together

It's ironic that we are not allowed to advocate the violent overthrow of the government, yet this country was founded by the violent overthrow of the established government of Great Britain. So we are stuck with this 18th Century Constitution forever? Symbolically, that obsolete screed was written behind closed doors.

The Communists rose to power in Russia through free speech and assembly. Though the Czar limited that, when Lenin took over one of the first things he ordered was complete suppression of those rights. Unlike what we are told to believe, he knew that this would not provoke a violent movement against him by people who had no other option.
