I remember a lot of anger during the Bush administration for no-bids to Haliburton, and charges of cronyism because Cheney was a one time stakeholder. Of course... there aren't a lot of one stop nation building shops out there... and they had been getting no-bids from the Clintons as well. It is sort of what they do. I personally hate the company.

Now, there are a lot of tech companies. A lot of companies that specialize in this... AMERICAN companies. If there is one thing we do well... it is tech ffs. A no-bid to friends of Michelle... resulting in the most epic tech failure in rollout history... and the left goes limp.

Maybe, and i dont' know this for sure, its because a) the ambassador was engaged in illegal arms smuggling b) the CIA was engaged in illegal arms smuggling c) those activities would be in breach of the Vienna convention on diplomatic relations.

I find it completely implausible that an ambassador of his stature and expertise would not know that a) tripoli was an unstable location b) 9/11 had special significance to Islamists around the world c) the likelihood of an attack on that day was extremely high. It begs the question, what the hell was he thinking taking only 2 body guards?
