http://www.express.co.uk/comment/haveyoursay/396412/Does-Britain-need-to-stop-all-immigration-now The answer is Yes.
Stop all immigration? Of course not. On the basis of the usual recycled Express scare story trash about lots of people not being the "right" colour? Certainly not. There is certainly an argument for reducing immigration in targeted ways but you and the Express aren't interested in that. "Grr, funny coloured foreigners bad!".
I think that immigration needs to be severely restricted. The EU has made immigration into something that is an ever growing pain in our country and at the expense of the ordinary Briton. The fact is that we are too many pursuing too few opportunities. It's always been harder to do things in the UK but this has only been exacerbated in the last 15 years.
They should logically start restricting it more, and who is eligible, but that is really a UK issue to do the cost-benefit on with the cost being primarily associated with high youth unemployment and what that means over a lifetime.
Well the vast majority of Muslims and Jews aren't a destructive force in the UK. Having lived and worked all across the country and finally arrived at Bradford and Leeds which is has amongst the highest number of Muslims, I can confidently say so. I'm also partially Jewish but that's quite distant as most of my family is British/English. As for those lunatics that protest at various spots in London; they are only a few hundred and of course they grab all the headlines.
Who asked for 'yes' in the first place? Nobody really. That was just a legal formality relating to international agreements, treaties.
British immigration should never stop. Solution: when the Pakies get too many, transfer them to France. The EU regulations allow for sharing "labor force" between nations. The French deserve them. WHAHAHA
lol this thread is a joke. 90% of the comments are stupid. Immigrants come to countries like Britain because the standard of living is better there than in their home nation. Help the EU countries that these immigrants come from and you'll see immigration reduce naturally. Why do you think black people came from Africa to Britain...Same situation. Romanians and Bulgarians are the new "n****s". Also, blaming youth unemployment on a unskilled immigrant is stupid. Less jobs since business cut costs (mainly via redundancies). Public sector cuts. Private sector cuts. rate of inflation higher than real wage movement. Blame Thatcher for selling of British Industries and handing over control to the 1%. Toodles
All immigration into Britain should be stopped. I enjoyed watching BBC's Question Time the other night because one of the guests on the show was UKIP deputy leader Paul Nuttall. He was about the only politician on the panel - which also included Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrats politicians - who made any sense. He slapped down Labour's Chuka Ummuna by pointing out that during Labour's 13 years in power, they let more people into the country than came here in the previous ONE THOUSAND years. This is a terrible indictment of Labour's 13 years in power and something they should apologise for, yet they refuse to do. I'm glad the Conservatives are now cutting Labour's immigration rate of hundreds of thousands per year to tens of thousands per year as it was before they came to power in 1997. But the Tories aren't going far enough. They need to freeze immigration completely. The country is full and its health, education and housing services are starting to creak under the strain. The Left may not like a freeze on immigration but the Left aren't important. What's important is the well-being of Britain and her citizens and the services those citizens receive, and services can no longer cope with the foreign influx. Commonsense says it's time to shut the doors.
Hear hear I think there are only making concessions to the people so they can garner support so they may be disingenuous about halting immigration. I think that the NHS, particularly in larger hospitals requires better organisation with less power invested in the bureaucrats and more in the senior doctors. But I agree with what you've said and I wish that more people would speak out about the plights that face our nation today. After all the only way we can combat this is to make government listen through registering our discontent.
Those are pathetically crap photoshops. they don't blend with the angles of the placards or the light on them at all.
