Poll: Utah split on gay marriage

Nearly half of people in Utah say they support same-sex marriage as a case that could overturn the state’s ban makes its way through the courts.

According to a poll commissioned by The Salt Lake Tribune, 48 percent of people in the state said same-sex couples should be allowed to marry. The same number opposes the move, with 4 percent are unsure.

The replies to your post that follow will probably suggest that, in Utah, the LDS people really want to use gay "marriage" as leverage to making polygamy legal... again. In the end, it's just like in Kalifornia, Oklahoma, and other states where gay "marriage" is crammed down the throats of a majority that does not want it. One judge overrules and overrides the expressed will of the people, and that's just FINE with a militant gay minority, and maybe the "Polygamy Lobby", too (is there one?).

One Judge, One unilateral Ruling, One Effect -- the "will of the people" no longer means a damned thing in the United States of America. We work, we pay taxes, we support and defend our country, but, our beliefs and votes mean absolutely NOTHING to a tyrannical nest of minority power-brokers who use political-correctness to inflict their own will on all the rest of us. 2. Rejected by friends and family because we were gay
3. Been denied housing because we were gay
