Oh, I didn't realize they had an election in Ukraine, and here stupid me I thought it was only the Western part that was protesting...or rather rioting. Please fill us in on it? When was it held? Did it include the Eastern half and Southern part of Ukraine? Did it include the Crimea? What about the sixty percent of Russian speaking people, do they all feel an affinity towards the West and not towards Russia? And here I thought it was only the Greek Catholics that did? Does this mean the Eastern and Southern parts are Nazis as well? Is this why they were banning Russian even though they all speak it? Just curious?

Yes they did in 2012 they had a Parliamentary election, their President being voted out of office in the Constitutionally authorized impeachment procedure, I suggest you read the Ukrainian Constitution:

Article 85. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall have the following powers:

10) to remove the President of Ukraine from the office in accordance with a special procedure (impeachment) established by the Article 111 of this Constitution;

http://www.president.gov.ua/en/content/chapter04.html

You said it not me.

Polls demonstrate that a large plurality of Ukrainian citizens if not an outright majority were protesting or supported the protests.

No they were peaceably protesting until he sent in his jack booted thugs to violently disperse them on November 30th 2013, I will not allow you to revise history especially history which is so recent.

October 28th 2013.

Yes and yes.

Can you provide the listing of the statute which outlaws the use of the Russian language? Thought not.

Indeed. The reality is that the Russian's in Crimea are regarded as potential liberators. We are hearing none of this in our media.

It's not that our American and English media lie completely, although they have been caught at it, , it's just that they leave things out in order to manipulate Americans. In the Crimea where the Russian speaking Ukrainians have complete control, they only mention Russians so that the people will believe it's the army and not the inhabitants themselves. Yesterday in the BBC they only interviewed the one person out of hundreds of thousands who wanted the Crimea to remain part of Ukraine, but by not interviewing anyone else, it gave the impression that this was a large segment of the population when it is very miniscule.

I get most of my information from a Greek site, but there are in depth analysis in sites such as Voltairenet.

And it is now sitting in Crete. Afterwards the whole fleet left Ukraine and joined with Crimea. Ukraine lost their navy, probably because they are Russian speaking and have families living in Crimea.

Yep, in the day-to-day media, much of this is the propaganda of Western power, whose narcissism, dissembling language and omissions often prevent us from understanding the meaning of contemporary events. 'Globalization' is a prime example. This smokescreen extends to journalists themselves who, wrote Michael Parenti in 'Inventing Reality: The Politics of the Mass Media', "rarely doubt their own objectivity even as they faithfully echo the established political vocabularies and the prevailing politico-economic orthodoxy. Since they do not cross any forbidden lines, they are not reined in. So they are likely to have no awareness they are on an ideological leash." Thus the true nature of power is not revealed, its changing contours are seldom explored, its goals and targets seldom identified.

You do not care about Ukrainians.
All you want is to support Assad's friends.
Period.

You are completely wrong. I had an argument with my son in law yesterday because he said the American government does not know what is really going on, and I said yes they do. They know everything but they do not care. I think this quote by the Russian Foreign Minister that I took from a Greek site says it all:

"... Mr Lavrov called on the West to stop seeing the situation in Ukraine in light of geopolitical calculations and to think primarily of the Ukrainian people..."

Here is a perfect example of our geo political calculations, and what we have been doing these past years. In Syria we have been giving support to groups of terrorist jihadists who are killing a maiming people and then to convince the American people of our righteousness, we toss around words like democracy and refer to these terrorists as 'freedom fighters' when they aren't even Syrians. Even the CIA report said that if an election was held, the Syrian people would vote for Assad but we could give a d**n, since it doesn't benefit our geo political aims.

In Ukraine we are supporting neo Nazis for the same reason. While the American press kept mentioning Russian influence instead of saying that the Eastern and Southern part of Ukraine have an affinity towards Russia, they were giving the illusion that the Russian government had pressured the Ukrainian government not to join with the E.U. and that it was against the will of the majority of the Ukrainian people.

The press also gave the illusion that the people coming into the Maidan from the Polish affiliated Western part of Ukraine was the majority throughout Ukraine. What was humorous is that at the same time they were forming this false picture in the minds of the Americans that Russia was influencing them, Kiev was filled with American and European dignitaries encouraging and feeding the protesters.

I'm so sick of the manipulations, I mean just how stupid do people like Kerry think we are?

Ukrainian Nationalists and Neo Nazis are being taught a lesson in Kharkov
Neo-Nazi's and Euromaidan supporters that occupied a government building in Kharkov are led out of a building after the building was stormed by pro-Russian crowd.

Now everyone knows where to stand. Syrian Girl loves anyone that kills their own people, and oppresses others. She has never met a dictator she wouldn't apologize for. Whenever you see evil in the world, Syrian Girl will be there, ready to gas her own people so no politician has to face a fair election.

[/Syrian girl, thank you for the video, we're certainly not going to see it in the Western press, I mean after all how are they going to convince Americans that it's an invasion by the Russian army? What I noticed with these neo Nazis is that they are just kids. Who in the world sent them into Kharkov to occupy the building? Didn't they know the city is predominantly Russian speaking?

I read that the police wouldn't intervene either way, they just let the people handle it. I also read that the neo Nazis trashed the inside, and that it was filled with explosives etc.

You're listening to too much Western propaganda. How can Putin be a dictator when he was voted in, and has a higher approval rating now then he had then? Also how can Assad be a dictator when the CIA report even stated that if a vote was taken, he would win by a landslide? :confuse:

How embarassing is it for the government in Kiev? Ukrainian Army movement blockaded by pro-Russian protesters. This in Nikolaev, central Ukraine. Not Crimea

Because they are russians themselves and they want protection from Russia... Because by profession these people are clerks, workers, farmers, traders... They don't want to fight with nazist. They would prefer if an army is fighting and they are doing what they like... Notably none of these people asked for help any other countries...

This is starting to look like 1938 with Czechoslovakia. Germany took the 'pro-German' lands, just before taking it all. This is not good.

No no. Someone is only a dictator when they oppose Western influence and goals.

Slobodan Milosevic - dictator
Saddam Hussein - dictator
Bashar Assad - dictator
Moammar Gaddafi - dictator
Hugo Chavez- Dictator
Vlad Putin - dictator

......but when they are friends.....

King Abdullah of Jordan - moderate charismatic pro-western leader
King Saud - great ally of USA
Shah - great ally
Leaders of Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain -- all allies, no dictators there

If the Western democracies are not supporting it and continue to be on the side of facists then there still is a chance to prevent it. So don't worry so far. Russia is not planning to take a part of the Ukraine...

Привет. Я могу по Русски говорить. Я учила Русский язык.

Nope. Just do it on my free time. Cannot go anywhere outside of Damascus anyway. It's getting better but still dangerous to go outside. Western sponsored jihadis are trying to destroy Syria.

Yet... I fear for the people of Ukraine and the nations of Eastern Europe. If we appease Putin and his Fascist government, we could have a problem. Ukraine is the breadbasket of eastern Europe and Putin wants that power like the leaders before him.
