I remember when Ma used to bake her apple pies and let it sit in the window sill... while Pa and I would toss the pig-skin around in the backyard. Ah, those were the days. Now, if Ma makes an apple pie it goes to welfare moochers and if Pa tosses the pig-skin he gets fined by the EPA.

What fond memories do you have?

I have fond memories of 45 seconds ago, before I heard a ridiculous claim about how home baked pies go to folks on welfare. Those were the days.

The biggest collective brain fart in history happened in 2008, no doubt. The sad thing is in November 2012, the brain farts got even worse.

Ok, then where are the pies going? If you walk around any given neighborhood, you will not see apple pies on window sills. Barack HUSSEIN Obama is to blame no doubt.

My xbox360 used to work. Now, red ring of death. 3 times! Most likely due to EPA regulations. Thanks OBUMMER

I watched the first step onto the Moon.

Later, the Launching of the SST, Space Shuttle, SkyLab, ISS, F117, and B2 technologies.

I watched the microcomputer revolution, and the seed and spread of the Internet.

I watched U.S. clean up Lake Erie, the pollution from the steel belts, the trash along the highways, and the smog over our cities.

I owned a whole series of different Outdoors-man Lighting, Kerosine Lanterns, Coleman Mantle Lanterns, 6V battery Lamps, Portable Florescent, and finally a practical , light weight, efficient LED head lamp.

My first Car got 8 mpg, my current gets 42 mpg.

My first computer had 16 kb of ram and tape drive, my current had a terrabyte of disk space and 8 gb of ram.

We have made great, great strides across my long life!

The day we went to war in Iraq, when the terrorists were training in Afghanistan. That one sticks out.

Best data -- this is from the U.S. Department of Energy. We'll take the average U.S. gas prices as of December from each year (prices not adjusted for inflation):

    1990 - $1.341
    1991 - $1.053
    1992 - $1.069
    1993 - $0.999
1994 - $1.077 (this is the year that reformulated gas was introduced)
    1995 - $1.082
    1996 - $1.227
    1997 - $1.112
    1998 - $0.993
    1999 - $1.273
    2000 - $1.414
    2001 - $1.096
    2002 - $1.441
    2003 - $1.478
    2004 - $1.791
    2005 - $2.197
    2006 - $2.341
    2007 - $3.053

Maybe we can get Bill back if folks like cheap gas.

Looking ahead, my fondest memories will be the hysterical brain fart epidemic among the right during the Obama years and the hyperbolic, delusional rhetoric that they spouted. Their impotent bile became funny to behold but also served a useful purpose by exposing the selfish, bigoted barbarism that passes for conservative thought these days. The voters have taken note.
    Thanks for playing.

I also remember $4.00 a gallon gas prior to Obama. Wonder how high gas prices could have possibly occurred then...and with a Republican in the White House...

Perhaps it could be that the President doesn't control the price of gas.

    Taxcutter says:
Democrats always claim Dubya and Cheney controlled gas prices.

Any chance we'll see $1.85 gas before 2017?

Yes I remember when even our second most corrupt President actually resigned. If only our current President had those morals.

I remember when Ma would have dinner ready at 6:00 on the dot. We'd all eat at the table after we said grace. We'd talk about those gosh darn communists and how their Sputnick was sending radio waves down to brainwash us. We'd talk about those beatnicks and their drug use (sorry for swearing). Then me and my brother would go out and watch a lynching after we beat up a homosexual, then head back home for mom to tuck us in. Those were such innocent times.

Why I fondly remember lefties (hippies and tree huggers back then) banning paper bags and they told us we should use plastic to save the world. Remember they chained themselves to trees farm equipment etc.,? Now here we are the next generation of hippies tells us we should save the planet by banning plastic bags and going back to paper.
I also remember when I could take a crap without a lefty putting a lock on the flush handle and flushing it for me 5 frign times. Why they are so smart they flush when no one appears to even be in the bathroom. They even know when invisible people are peeing. Amazing technology the lefties have.

    Waco Texas was fun.
    Ruby Ridge was too.
    9/11 was a real hoot.
Invading Iraq so their dictator couldn't destroying us with WMD was a high point.
    Bank bail outs were nice.

    Obama ruined everything.
