A voter ID is as 'sinister' as a driver's license. C'mon.

No. The lameness resides within quality of Right-wing policies. The tearing down of the middle class and the surreptitious diminishing of REAL freedoms and liberties (in the name of promoting the same).

That Right-wing is in fact so 'lame', that it cannot be sold honestly; its phoney appeal is propped-up by deception, money and power. You cannot truly 'sell' it to people (as it should be). It's just more of the same Astro-Turf politics which caused people to believe that the Tea Party was anything than a dangerously extreme agenda, which has literally damaged democracy in this society... transforming it into influence for the few, instead of it being based upon the consent of the people.

That you and others entrenched on the Right will not address concerns of voter disenfranchisement, spells it out for any truly alert and reasonable American. When you care more about winning elections than adhering to the principles of true democracy, your ideas and your ways become no less than a threat overall.

People WILL respond to these attempts at disenfranchisement, and it is likely that the many foolish people on the Right who perpetrated such a thing will regret what they have endeavored to do. The payback is surely coming.

You are playing around the edges of your ignorance; it's a game to you. Just keep on doing what you're doing. Go on.

The ignorance and slight-of-hand is demonstrated by those claiming voter ID is 'racist'. Get the ID and put the race card away for those who use it 'liberally'.

There might be an actual fact somewhere in all that hyperbole, but there doesn't appear to be one.

The 35,000 votes in North Carolina claim was discredited some time ago. It was yet another one of those sensational allegations that are passed off as fact in the right wing echo chamber that turns out to be fake.

The only thing fake in this thread is the lefties who argue that voter ID is racist.

It is true that a consistant thead of nearly every conservative position, puts the powerful, the bankers, the influence peddlers and corporation at the top.

Not only that, you'll close your eyes and stick your hands over your ears and say "blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah I can't hear you" it's the way cult members deal with truth....they ignore it

Yes, a couple of them, and not rank and file sheep, a governor and a party leader, who left because the GOP had become an extremist cult.
And now, cult members must shun them, and not listen to their heresies, not read their blasphemies, lest they be contaminated...

This BTW is the same cult, who when presented with Birth Certificate issued by the State of Hawaii, declared it a fake...
Who, when presented with the fact that there were no WMDs in Iraq, declared that the WMDs must have been hidden somewhere...
Who, when presented the fact that George W. Bush and Republican majorities were in charge leading up to the worst financial collapse since 1930, blamed it on Barney Frank, a minority member of the Banking committee.....

So that information about what Crist said wasn't put there for the cult, I knew that cult members would never accept it, it was there for the rational people.....

http://www.rnla.org/votefraud.asp I think you posted this right wing link before. Many of these cases have nothing to do with ID. Evidence that the voter fraud through ID is very rare.

Lol! The only thing fake in this thread is when some folks on here run for cover after they've read post #149. Telling others their claims are worthless while never actually proving that, shows the line of (*)(*)(*)(*) some will spew while never holding their own position to account. When asked to produce a rebuttal worthy of a continuing debate, they take the easy route by running from the thread, only to show up later accusing and producing absolutely nothing of substance to back up all hate speech. You'd think they'd realize it's time to grow a (*)(*)(*)(*) and produce an opposing argument once in a while. Apparently that's not going to happen.

When the GOP wins the WH and still cares enough about this issue to actually push a Federal level ID for everyone, that does not require any effort to get, then I might take this seriously. The right hates census, why should this issue be taken any more serious?

What kills me is that he goes and admits that there are only about a dozen incidents of voter fraud a year, but in mid stream of fixing that problem all these "OTHER" voter suppression schemes surface to make a non-problem into a very big problem. That is why it is impossible to grant the ID part of this any credibility. It's just a front for the other goodies that actually do make it harder to vote. They try and fix fraud, by committing fraud. What a joke.

If we could get both sides to push them, we could get it done. But it's pretty hard when one side wants it and the other side doesn't. S.S. card ID is a great idea. We can not only cut down on voter fraud, but we can drastically cut down on illegals sneaking into this country. It's like killing two birds with one stone. That's not even counting the doors that will be open for the poor and elderly. It's a win, win situation.

Voter ID being racism is all talk. With libs, anything they dislike is always 6 degrees of racism, 'homophobia', 'misogyny' or any other faux 'CONcern they can hide behind.

The Right is playing the worst possible game. They cannot 'sell' or convince the vast majority of Americans that their agenda is the best, so they find barely-legal, yet terrible ways (usually fodder for the courts) to cheat in elections.

    You nailed it.

    Excellent Post!!
