big maybe here but if Hillary is not just being coy, if she is genuinely hesitant for whatever reason who will be the Democratic nominee?

    Some names have been mentioned

Joe Biden - pros would be name recognition and likability. Cons would be his numerous and frequent gaffs

Elizabeth Warren - pros - she has a vagina. Cons- count on the native American scandal being brought up again, and again, and again. I would say inexperience also but then that did not stop Obama

Andrew Coumo - this is who my money would be on

Terry McAuliffe- doubtful in my book. Got a record as a loser. Lost the primaries in his first bid as Va governor, was a chairman for Hillary in 2008. Only reason he won as governor is that 7% of the votes went to a libertarian

Those are just speculations and as I have pointed out in other threads, might as well consult a gypsy tea leaf reader right now as try and make a prediction for whose names will be being batted around in the summer of 2015

The Democratic Party's lack of leadership is showing, and without the pompous "youth", it'll be difficult to appeal to Populism. The GOP can very well win 2014/2016, if it chooses the right candidates.

It will be the same person it is if Hillary accepts--not Hillary.

I'd put Andrew Cuomo as the most electable in the field but Biden will give him a run for the money under a "One and I am done" campaign.

Wait a minute now, isn't this the fellow who recently said something along the lines of (paraphrased) "we don't need no stinkin' conservatives in this state"?

Hmmmm . . . that doesn't seem particularly politically astute to me as there was quite a resulting backlash over that. That is if I have the correct politician in mind. I could look it up but -- meh -- why bother?

Money buys chance and the Obama money will support him with the hope they can claim some glory should he actually do something since the PPACA pretty much killed Obama's entire legislative initiative.

Naw, Mighty Mo with Hilary as the side kick. That way she can be groomed for 2024...

Or we could have Mighty Mo with Al Gore, now that would be a class act! Then they could offer Hillary the consolation prize again, this time Secretary of Education.

I think we go with a Hispanic, and lock up 85% of an energized Hispanic vote, a big share of a big Hispanic turnout would be unbeatable, at least one of the Castro brothers on the ticket, something like Elizabeth Warren and Julian Castro, would have the coattails to take back congress.

Being from MA, I am aghast that Warren is even considered. The first time I heard it I honestly thought it was a joke. When we wonder why our economy is tanking, people are out of work and those that are working have less money in their pockets than 10 years ago, its because we are becoming the dumbest people on earth and dumb does not help you stay on top (as evidenced by our current status). I wouldn't consider Biden to wash my car much less be the President. Voting for Warren, a proven liar doesn't say much for your integrity or intelligence.
So as you said, are they the best this country has to offer? The answer is no, there are many people far better suited to lead the nation, the problem is 51% of our country are too dumb to know it. Obama has not been a leader, he is still campaigning. He missed the memo that at some point he is supposed to be a leader. Leaders are supposed to unite people not divide them further.
Hillary? do we really need to list the reasons why she should not even be considered?
Voting for Biden? Stupid is as stupid does.

But the problem you see is that to the Democratic Party leadership that automatically encompasses all conservatives everywhere. Don't you recall how John McCain was painted as a probable racist for addressing Barack Obama as "The One" during one of their 2008 presidential debates? So in meaningful terms Andrew Cuomo was stating that anyone NOT a Politically Correct leftwinger IS automatically a conservative and therefore EVIL.

So . . . good luck with that presidential campaign strategy; because after having said it, he cannot un-say it . . . and Lord knows the fellow already tried. He backpedaled so hard on that statement that I'm surprised his political bicycle didn't collapse . . . and it did not work because he said what he said and it's now on record. Oh and some conservative run businesses are leaving the state as a result, that being all it took to finally convince them that this was a bad state to do business in if one was not an officially aligned with the Left business owner.

While I think her policies are grossly totalitarian, Elizabeth Warren does at least represent the Progressive base. That's something in her favor. She's also closer to most voting Democrats on the financial system and Federal regulation. To trivialize her as just having vagina seems unfair.

Its pretty obvious that the chronic bellywhingers are so verklempt at the American electorate's support for Hillary Rodham Clinton that they rather shut their eyes, click their heels, and wish her away rather than hire Hans Blix, Charles Duelfer, and David Kay to conduct an exhaustive search to find that viable GOP opponent they are convinced is out there:

"We know where he is. He's in the area around El Dorado and Shangri-La and east, west, south and north somewhat."

you are right she has a progressive vagina with no management and little governing experience. To be fair though during her brief time in Congress she managed to get as many bills passed as Hillary did during her entire stint as Senator from NY. Warren managed to get a bill passed congratulating the Red Sox on their World Series win and another honoring the Boston Police Department and the victims of the Boston Bombing so I guess her governing ability is at least if not better than Hillary's

He certainly has a better one than Obama. After all, at least Cuomo has run something (The State of New York).

    I'm not supporting him, though.
