So far all you have presented are alarmist statements. Prove you are right. Try to find some study that is not from an alarmist left wing blog.

Is there really any who is claiming that Monsanto is not a negative influence on America's food chain? Hard to believe if so.

The original requirement for Monsanto to experiment with their GMO corn required genetic containment.
Guess what, pollen escaped from a sealed area. I remember because I followed the story in real time.

Since that point in time all has been quiet on regulations and licensing of GMO product.
Why do you suppose that is?

Do you think nuclear scientist imagined a Fukishima or 3 Mile Island, etc. when they were paying candidates for their future licenses?

You may have the last word. That your faith carries you through the No Harm From GMO stance without reason is "yours" and not appropriate to bore others.

    One favor.
When was your last course in Biological Science? What year, what grade.
Do you read, Science ? Science News? Nature? Or any science journals?
Well we all have our personal Bible

Oh, the burden of proof is on Monsanto, just like any new drug.
But, Monsanto is free of such controls.

It's impossible to know the long term effects on humans or the land yet. Also, Monsanto hide data and information from the public, to prevent independent research, only offering their own fudged pseudo-science. So you can't make argument on lack of evidence when proper investigation is prevented. But you can draw reasonable conclusions about why Mansanto, with an obvious conflict of interest, can't do science on their own product they want to sell, and why they would try to stop information getting out.

90% of corn grown in the US is genetically modified. Nature genetically modifies plants all the time. It is nothing new.

Genetic mistakes made by nature is nothing new. Nature can make them and man cannot?

Homogonizing our own agriculture is an unprecedented experiment. Natural breeding is in no way the same as you yourself cherry-picking genes, as that creates random assignments still and allows genetic diversity. There is no possible way to say this is anything but new.

Why do you suppose they are covering this up from independent inquiry, by the way?

And also, why on Earth would one want to vouch for any scientific conclusions that have yet to be independently confirmed to eliminate bias?

Really, You invoke what Nature does ?
Per your style, give me an example of when nature bred a gene from a bacterium in a corn seed.
Nature does it by random gene mutations on the off chance one is beneficial to surviving and breeding.
Nature does it by hybridizing similar populations.

Honestly, when was your last biology class? What year, what grade.
Your ignorance is proving less and less an excuse.

I am partly to blame. I am feeding a troll.

It must be safe until it isn't." sez the troll.

Corn is wind pollinated and sometimes the pollen can travel for miles. And GM corn is no exception.

But corn can be segregated to reduce pollen contamination. About 400 yards between varieties should do it. Even though corn pollen and other plant pollen can travel for miles it is too thin and dispersed to change more than a kernel or two in a few ears of corn in a field miles away.

That is why...even if you plant corn near a cornfield you always plant more than two rows for pollination.

    One step further.
Let's imagine, as Monsanto claims , the genome of said corn, or wheat, or rice, is advantageous to the forces of natural selection.
And are therefore more likely to be passed on to subsequent generations - in the wild !

How do we corral a GMO gone wild ?
Monsanto takes the farmer of contaminated seed to court. I hope farmers can make M. pay.

Indeed. The Monsanto scandal regarding infected milk caused by injected growth hormones into cattle with the aim of increasing yields, is all we need to know about the lack of ethics of this particular organization.

I think all the farmer has to do is save the recite for the seeds purchased or prove that he has been saving his own seed.

Don't get me wrong....I hate Monsanto....But I do admire their scientists.

They have killed people right here in Bama and lied about it. I would also do a little research on treated seed and some of the chemicals that are being used in agriculture. Misuse of agricultural chemicals are much bigger problem than GMO s IMHO.

Exactly, they always point to Percy Schmeiser who, they claim, was persecuted by Monsanto for growing RoundUp ready crops without a license. While it is true Monsanto brought him to court, his claims of seeds blowing onto his land cannot be verified and it cannot be explained why he sprayed RoundUp on 3 acres of his Canola crop which would kill all non-Round-Up plants then harvest the GMO seeds which he used to plant 1,030 acres on his farm. These are the very seeds he said he didn't WANT on his farm. As usual, the MSM only gives part of the story and the ignorant fall for it hook line and sinker.

All agricultural varieties of plants originated out of wild ancestors, which had evolved for millennia, adapting and adjusting to pests, plant competitors and herbivores. Actually, each of them is an evolutionary marvel, which we are realizing only now, when we are loosing them as we got them from our ancestors. Genetic engineering is using pretty crude methods of destroying genetic makeup of ancient organisms by reshuffling their genotypes, adding new genes and chains of DNA without precise prior knowledge what would come out. They insert pesticide producing genetic blocks in plants we eat without knowledge of long term effects of it and they replace naturally evolved and selected varieties with newly created genetic monstrosities, which would be the same in all climates and geographic regions for "industrial use". This replacement is going on in large scale, devastating biodiversity. I mean natural biodiversity. In effect it is a genetic pollution of agricultural species and varieties.

Sorry, but nothing 'devastates' biodiversity. That goes on no matter what man does.

    Study Up, Dude. Really.

When was YOUR last biology class?

Example, as rice crops begin to whittle down to just a few types for this or that region and tastes; a rice institute conserves rice seed from those out of favor varieties in the event some future blight might make them or a part of their genome, advantageous.

Protecting Bio Diversity of food stuffs is well on the way.

Maybe they should have consulted you to be assured they need not worry.

U.S. Government Ties El Salvador USD 277
M Aid Package to Monsanto’s GMO Seeds

..........................................."they hate us for our freedoms"

    http://www.blacklistednews.com/U.S....o_Monsanto’s_GMO_Seeds/35832/0/38/38/Y/M.html

The President of the El Salvadoran Center for Appropriate Technologies (CESTA),
Ricardo Navarro, has demanded that the U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador, Mari
Carmen Aponte, stops pressurizing the Government of El Salvador to buy
Monsanto’s GM seeds rather than non-GMO seeds from domestic suppliers.

“I would like to tell the U.S. Ambassador to stop pressuring the Government (of El
Salvador) to buy ‘improved’ GM seeds,” said Navarro, which is only of benefit to
U.S. multinationals and is to the detriment of local seed production,
    Verdad Digital reported last week.

In recent weeks, the U.S. has been pushing the El Salvadoran Government to sign
the second Millennium Challenge Compact. One of the main conditions on the
agreement is allegedly for the purchasing of GM seeds from Monsanto.

Support the El Salvadoran Government in their fight against Monsanto

Contact the USDA in El Salvador Directly to Make Your Voice Heard

At the end of 2013 it was announced that without ‘specific’ economic and
environmental policy reforms, the U.S. government would not provide El Salvador
with $277 million in aid money through the Millennium Challenge Corporation
    (MCC).

The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is a U.S. foreign aid
agency that was created by the U.S. Congress in January 2004.
According to the MCC they “have changed the conversation on how
best to deliver ‘smart’ U.S. foreign assistance by focusing on ‘good’
    policies.”

It is now clear that by ‘specific reforms’ the MCC means reforms that allow GM
crops and their associated pesticides to be forced on El Salvador’s Government
    and citizens.

Is it a coincidence that the MCC delayed its initial agreed aid payments following
the announcement by the El Salvador Government that they were banning the use
of Glyphosate (Roundup) and 52 other dangerous chemicals in September 2013?

Glyphosate (Roundup) herbicide sales are the main money earner for the Biotech
industry worldwide and the chemical is also the base of the whole system that
allows GM Crops to be grown.

The El Salvadoran Government’s ban on Glyphosate came amidst a mysterious
kidney disease that is killing thousands of the region’s agricultural laborers. Central
America’s health ministries signed a declaration in March 2013 citing the ailment as
a top public health priority and committing to a series of steps to combat its reach,
the Center of Public Intergrity revealed.

Over the last two years, the Center for Public Integrity has examined how a rare
type of chronic kidney disease (CKDu) is killing thousands of agricultural workers
along Central America’s Pacific Coast, as well as in Sri Lanka and India. Scientists
have yet to definitively uncover the cause of the malady, although emerging
evidence points to toxic heavy metals contained in pesticides as a potential culprit.

Sri Lankan scientist Dr Jayasumana recently released a study in the International
Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health that proposes a link between
    Roundup (aka Glyphosate) and CKDu.

“There is a harmful corporation on the planet called Monsanto … it is truly
disturbing that the U.S. is trying to promote them …” concluded Navarro, who
hopes that the Members of the El Salvadoran Legislative Assembly do not accept
    any manipulation by the U.S.

Read it anyway?!? Monsanto alluding to their own obviously biased, secret research is not worth anybody's time. Nobody has any burden of proof besides Monsanto or their supporters.

Try posting an actual scientific study. You can't, because the data, methodology, etc. is all secret. You can't have science outside the scientific method. Whatever falls outside is not science, including any fact sheets, reports etc. And this includes federal government pseudo-scientists as well.

Why You Are Insane If You Think GMOs Are Safe
    links in green

Let's put aside the debate about antigenic proteins introduced by transgenes in GMO crops.
Transgenes are genes from species that are not naturally present in crops of feed or food
importance, e.g. spider genes, bacterial genes, viral genes, etc. These transgenes are capable of
producing proteins in the plants that have never been in the human diet over the course of human
evolution, stretching back thousands, even millions of years. GM proponents and regulators claim
pseudo-scientifically that these novel new GM foods are 'substantially equivalent' to conventional
ones, despite a lack of human clinical toxicology studies to prove it; or, they claim that these
proteins are inconsequential and do not represent a threat to human health, or the health of the
biosphere as whole because they say so – a plea to their own self-appointed, baseless authority.

This debate about whether or not GMO foods contain problematic proteins is meant to confuse and
distract from the real issue that if you eat corn, soy, cottonseed or canola containing GMO products
and everyone does since nothing is truthfully labeled – you are ingesting glyphosate
(aka Roundup) residues. How can I say that? Because these ungodly organisms have been
designed to survive the equivalent of a chemical apocalypse. GM Monoculturing using
glyphosate-resistant plants requires the widespread application of a systemic life-killing
concoction of chemicals to the land – literally carpet bombed like Agent Orange herbicide in
Vietnam -- that kills every plant but the one designed to somehow resist dying after being
sprayed. The result? Massive chemical injury and contamination of the plants intended to be
    your food.

I will say it again, you are insane if you believe that ingesting Roundup contaminated food
    is safe,
especially if you let your children consume it. In a world where Department of Children
and Families can threaten to take your children away if you don't pump up to 80 vaccines into
    them as children,
knowingly letting your child eat food poisoned with glyphosate formulations,
which have been linked to over 40 diseases in the peer-reviewed biomedical literature – should
be considered at least as an egregious offense.

Please read "Extreme Toxicity of RoundupDestroys GM/Non-GM 'Substantial Equivalence'
Argument," [/url][/b]if you think these statements are hyperbolic or intended to promulgate fear-
mongering. Take away the voluminous industry-funded 'research' they paid for to market their
product and cover up its harms, and through publication bias pushed into the popular
consciousness as 'evidence' for why you should enjoy intentionally eat chemicals, and you are left
with a truly dismal picture of what is really going on.

RoundUp is found in our air, our water, our food, our rain, making avoidance nearly impossible.
    It is destroying the soil
    ,
including the still mostly unexplored biodiversity of the soil organisms found
there, including strains of major food importance. It is found in breast milk, it is destroying the
coral reefs, it exhibits carcinogenic, endocrine-disruptive properties in the parts-per-trillion range.
And still, our government – specifically the EPA – thinks you can live with them increasing the
'acceptable level of harm' because it is bioaccumulating everywhere, and they don't' know what to
do. Monsanto, of course, directs and in some way owns our government. Just look at who they
have placed in positions of power if you need proof.

This post is really not meant to speak to the choir. We have a million unique visitors a month, most
of whom are already aware of what's going on, and who want to change the trajectory in a way that
does not lead to the collapse of the biosphere, and our support system with it. This post is meant to
call out those who, quite frankly, are whoring themselves to the biotech and chemicals industries.
Who write articles and blogs who claim those of us who do not wish to see our children die young
of idiopathic diseases, leukemia, or suffer through accelerated neurodegeneration – think autism
spectrum disorder – related to incessant chemical exposures, are 'anti-science,' 'fear mongers,'
'irrational parents.' They have blood on their hands. Despite our firm convictions,
    the evidence itself proves this.

Yes, you are insane if you eat GMOs, or support the agenda. Ban Roundup and GMOs is the
mantra I would love to see repeated, incessantly, into the future. Till it's done. Then, perhaps, when
the precautionary principle is implemented, we can begin to cultivate sanity again and reverse the
process that is killing our planet
