Those people you describe weren't posting on Democratic Underground, sharing photos from liberal pages, and leaving miles of bedcrumbs connecting them to the broader progressive sphere. Face it, the right's rhetoric encouraged these shooters. When you trade in constant outrage and anti-gov't conspiracy theories, what do you expect to happen?

The two police officers these right wingers killed were armed. What happened to the "only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun" ridiculousness Crackpot Wayne Lapierre claimed? Got to get rid of all these guns.

They committed suicide when they were surrounded by good guys with guns. "Crackpot Wayne Lapierre" was right.

Yeah let's just ignore the root of the problem and leave the lunatics on the streets. Getting rid of guns will surely end the violence.

No one should support extreme rhetoric, whether it is far right or far left. The sides are pretty similar in their solutions and absolute distrust of authority, its just the perceived motivation that is different. Crazy right wingers see the police as the thugs who will enforce government regulations, and crazy left wingers see police as thugs who will protect the status quo.

Some of the post and emails that these two put out are not so dissimilar from the more extreme right wing members here. Too often people who post comparing our government to socialist nationalist or dictatorial communist get plenty of support from others who may not be so extreme. Or maybe they are, who knows.

It seems impossible to think that raging posters here may have emotional or psychological problems that could cause them to act out. And maybe it is impossible, but if we are reasonable people why is it so hard to communicate reasonable concern?

Why would it be hard to believe that people who ended up killing cops and themselves may have displayed erratic behaviors prior to their malicious acts that made the Bundy's uncomfortable enough to make them leave? That seems like a very likely scenario.

Possibly, but my guess is as good as yours. We don't know the facts. An event like that was sure to attract some bad actors. There were a lot of outsiders that came in to support Bundy. It became a carnival.

Would you say the same about the (mostly) homeless people who started trouble at OWS?

Wow, as someone who has smoked pot basically every day for 10 years, I have my doubts about its psychotic rage inducing properties.

    What is this, reefer madness?

so, your claim that people were killed at Bundy Hill was misleading.
There were many people at Bundy Hill. Are you blaming Bundy for what Miller did? A mether? Really?
I wonder how many on LEO's side have killed/murdered civilians.................

    so? What does that prove?

Imo, it's more likely that people find Bundy and his friends distasteful to say the least. See, it's hard to stand behind people who think they can get away with breaking the law as long as they have guns and threaten to shoot those who come to punish them for their law breaking.
