Of course, 97% of the residents of the western Ukraine view their country as their own, and 89% of the residents in Donbas in the eastern part do as well. There are two Ukraines- Western Ukraine and Eastern Ukraine. Residents from each part of Ukraine talk about their own part of the Ukraine. At least this is true for the East

No that is not the truth of what the polls said. Ukraine is one country despite your desires

    http://www.interpretermag.com/dugin-tells-separatists-in-ukraine-what-to-do-next/

Note Pavel Gubarev who is a known neo nazi

    http://www.opendemocracy.net/od-rus...rn-ukraine-far-right-eurasianism-slavic-unity

After Maidan the news from the East was that they considered themselves one country. They just wanted to understand what had been happening. Clearly they were looking for the common voice Dugin, a Russian, outlawed. I'd say the people you claim you know who support this are traitors. I cannot see how it can be put any other way.

Later Dugin visited the South East to incur on people the tactics they should use.

Nonsense. In Russia's view whatever is part of Russia today belongs to Russia even though it might have belong to other countries in the past...and whatever was ever part of Russia is still Russia even if it belongs to other countries today. It does not work like that....

By your logic Russia should return huge chunks of land to Germany, Finland, Japan, Turkey, Poland etc because the land was part of those countries in the past.

Do not be stupid, Litwin, we talk about modern history, not about time of Tatar-Mongol Igo.

Exactly....Crimea used to belong to Turkey, then it belonged to Russia, then it belonged to the Soviet Union, not it belongs to Ukraine....Why should Russia and not Turkey and not the Tatars claim ownership....How about disputed Japanese islands, they used to belong to Japan until conquered by Russia which ethnically cleansed the Japanese population of those islands? ..... or the land that belonged to Finland.... How about Chechnya which used be belong to the Chechens....The number of similar examples is countless, the point is clear though, Russia can't have it both ways.

Yes, I missed it. Then I think these polls are BS. People from East of Ukraine and West differ by culture, language, mentality. You have no idea what you are talking about, I was born in Donetsk region and know this. All time East Ukraine feeded West and yet lived worse. Only idiots do not understand that if Ukraine join EU, there would be no Azovstal, no Factory of Ilich in Mariupol and many others factories. They are not competitive compared to European factories. People will just loose their jobs. Do they need this? Of course, not.

Do not write ridiculous things. Chechna belongs to Chechens. Go there and see Groznui- they live better than anyone in Russia. We speak about modern history. Crimea has not belonged to Turkey since end of 18th century. Now in Crimea most of the population are Russians. Sevastopol- is a Russian city, built by Russians and defended by Russians in several wars. Russia invested a lot of efforts in Crimea. What cities in Crimea were built by Tatars? There are none existing. Anyhow, from now Crimea is back to Russia and I am happy about that, as well many of Russians, and noone can do anything about that. Only barking from their corners of civilization.

Nonsense, you are talking about "convenient" history, you find a random place in history when a piece of land belongs to Russia and claim it Russian....When I point out that Russian land belonged to other countries in very recent history or belongs to other countries today (Crimea) you ignore this as "inconvenient" history.

I do not care. I have my point of view. You have your point of view. They are different. I disagree with you. You disagree with me. But independent of agree you or not to my position, Crimea de facto is Russian now.

RIA Novosti [Russian press agency] has reported that the vessel "Elettra" [a unit for electronic warfare of the Italian Navy] is entering the Black Sea just today [to substitute the French Dupuy de Lome] to join the company made by the Surcouf [France] and the Vella Gulf [US].

Russians substantially accuse Italy to spy on behalf of US.

A part that the Italian government limits information about [also after parliamentary requests of explanation by the opposition which seems to be shocked by the eventuality that Italy acts as NATO member ...], I would underline that the official employment of the Elettra is just SIGINT [so where is the surprise?].

And since the vessel has got a very low signature, it can get very close to the the target to analyze.

Anyway Russians can sleep well: it's all within the rules of the Montreux Convention.

Of course it was a theft, Crimea was stolen from Russia by the thief Khruschev, and when the maidan Nazis split from the Soviet Union, they refused to return it, but kept it so they could blackmail Russia. The same with the Dombas, so is it any wonder the Ukrainian Nazis and thieves fear Moscow? They fear their fate might become the same as those who had robbed Russia.

I'm so glad Italy decided to follow the U.S., that way when the war comes, as it will considering the pressure being put on Russia, it will be united with its brethren. I guess love has no bounds...so ashes to ashes, and dust to dust. :cynic:

Well, many Ukrainians (if not most) call themselves Russians.
You have to live with that!

There was no Ukraine and no Ukrainians till the criminal Bolsheviks created this Soviet Republic.

The ancestors of today Ukrainians called themselves Russians, Small Russians and New Russians.

Do you see any Ukrainians on this map?

I do not see any Ukrainians in this map.

Petits Russes means "Small Russians" in French.

Yep, Ukraine is an artificial creation of criminal Bolsheviks, one part of Ukraine was Russia, the other part was Poland.

Now the ex-Poles try to subjugate ex-Russians, but this does not work out.

What I mean is that these oligarch thieves in Ukraine are fearful of Putin, because they might end up with the same fate as the oligarchs who had robbed Russia during the Yeltsin years. They are probably the ones arousing the neo Nazis against Moscow with falsehood and propaganda, but they should be cautious, because it might come back to bite them someday...it usually does. Evil begets evil. :oldman:

I have read that Putin comes down hard on Oligarch's who do not agree with him but gives a tender touch with those who do. I do not see anything moral about that. Please the population while getting rid of their enemy and keeping those who will scratch his back.
