Anybody beside me not surprised?

Apparently, our beloved President is "fundamentally transforming" others areas of the world, too. Josh Rogin at The Daily Beast reports:

We have many odd "friends", such as Saudi Arabia with its Medieval regime and Pakistan, a breeding ground for Taliban militants. We found "friends" even in Syria (not Assad!).
Israel with Hitler style politics (no vernichtung lagers, though) is our "best friend".

our so-called allies funded the 9-11 attacks.

the sealed portions of the 9-11 Commission include funding from Saudi Arabia and govt. officials in SA.

How do we support ISIS in Syria but oppose them in Iraq? Same thing, both places. And all the neocons among us can see is overthrowing Assad. Another giant mistake that started with the overthrow of Saddam. Too bad you don't like blood 'cause you're going to be living with it for a while.

Obama would say that we are directly only supporting the non-extremists in the Syrian resistance.

The US has turned Iraq and Libya into dysfunctional (*)(*)(*)(*)holes by overthrowing Saddam and Gadaffi. We're going for 3 out of 3 with Syria. Only now it's all blowing up in our face, and predictably so. Chaos is our only legacy in the Middle East.

I don't support extremists at all. But a stable, even if corrupt government is better than an unstable, corrupt government. This isn't about Neocons, more innocent Iraqis are being sacrificed at the altair of awful foreign policy positions.

What a highly irritating and nonsensical post. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar are heroic nations ("good" Muslims) who support us 100% to bring down the crazed Mullahs in the Terrorist States of Iran and Syria ("bad" Muslims), both of which threaten our key ally Israel.

When you call Saudi Arabia a Medieval Regime, I just have to ask if you have ever spent any time in Saudi Arabia???

ISIS robbed the Central Bank of Mosul and have 429 million dollars.

The US didn't overthrow Ghadaffi and couldn't have stopped them from getting rid of old Moammar.

We also funded the Taliban early on just the way Israel funded HAMAS.

this is true, we wanted change, some times change is ugly, sometimes a civil war is started over what the change should look like

and sometimes the aftermath is no better then the prior... that is up to the people of those countries

all we can do is provide opportunities for change when we think it benefits us and them, we can't force them to change, only they can do that....

From the New York Times March 19, 2011:

TRIPOLI, Libya — American and European forces began a broad campaign of strikes against the government of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi on Saturday, unleashing warplanes and missiles in a military intervention on a scale not seen in the Arab world since the Iraq war.

We helped to bring that "Arab Spring" in Libya. Quadaffy was so artistic, and he also had a crash on Condi Rice. He was almost as popular as Kim Kardashian, a darling of corporate owned media.

This is a Sunni vs Shia fight, and none of our business.

Those awful foreign policy decisions you speak of are the result of the Neocon Manifesto. Above all else, they want American/Israeli hegemony in the Middle East. Since nobody called them out for the fools they are after their very awful foreign policy decision involving the invasion of Iraq, they are still hard at it.

For months now there have been reports of ISIS fighters in Syria being sent into Syria by Turkey to fight the Kurds. Turkish ambulances were seen entering and taking out the wounded ISIS fighters, and it's because of Turkey we were not able to support the Kurds. The latest I read from a foreign source is that ISIS is supported by Qatar. They probably give financial support, while the military training and logistical support would come from Turkey. :confuse:

Chaos is our legacy everywhere. We're doing it to Ukraine as well. I read that Kagan, who is the biggest neo con in Washington, and whose wife Nuland was the one that overthrew the legitimate president in Ukraine, said that Hillary is one of them. In other words if she becomes president, she can be trusted to continue their policy of 'interventionism'.

And some times it is just none of our damn business. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to get between Sunni and Shia was a simpleton.

Balkanization is the goal, not the side effect. Israel wants NO strong central governments in the Middle East. They want this internecine warfare to break these countries up. Yinon Plan. Project For New American Century. A Clean Break: Strategy For Securing The Realm.

What Israel wants they get. It's U.S. policy.

The holy war in Iraq has started.. it will not end soon.. many will be killed in the name of Allah.
Sunni are killing Shias, Shias are killing Sunni.
Arabs are the cause of most violence in the world, Palestinian Bedouins are the cause of violence in the Middle East.
