Russia didn't care if Kiev signed agreements with the EU they already have the energy sector set up and it makes no difference to them one way or the other. The US is still importing Nat Gas from Russia so the US providing EU with Nat gas is a ridiculous proposal.
Russiaa stated that they had to draw a red line as to Ukraine joinining NATO since the Budapest Memorandum had already been broken and the US had interferred in the democratic Ukraine government that they could not allow their warm water port cut off or setting up another missile base was acceptable. It is no more acceptable than if Russia set up a missile base in Ontario pointed at NY. Russia doesn't care if the EU wants to be a US colony or not but killing innocent civilians isn't accceptable.

Шило в мешке не утаишь (Russian definition: Awl cannot be hidden in the bag). Although Putin has been a spy in the past, but other politicians do not have such talent. Therefore, leakage of information from different sides. I gathered up all the leaks, half-hints in a single thread http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?p=1064219084 You can compare, analyze, but more and more confidence in my conspiracy hypothesis.

And one more thing, for the record. Putin agreed with the Americans, but not with Obama. Hint, elections in Congress soon.

Unfortunately, the killing of innocent people only card in the game of politicians. Ukraine hand would be stronger if it were not for these murders. Poroshenko bet all in and lost.

Is This Why Obama Is Rushing To This Week's NATO Summit?
Tyler Durden's pictureSubmitted by Tyler Durden on 09/03/2014 09:34 -0400

As is well-known, tomorrow, September 4, a NATO summit begins in Wales to discuss and coordinate the western response to ongoing "Russian intervention" in Ukraine (not to be confused by US intervention in Ukraine meant to remove an standing, democratically-elected president), a summit for which Barack Obama has demonstrated impressive enthusiasm following his blitz tour of Europe, a continent reeling on the edge of a recessionary abyss courtesy of the "costs" Obama has imposed on Germany Russia in the aftermath of the Victoria Nuland-instituted local Kiev government.

That's right: the NATO summit is set to take place at the magnificent Celtic Manor Resort, the location of the 2010 Ryder Cup.

But not only that: courtesy of an unprecedented security presence, it means that Obama will have no problem sneaking in at least 4 games for the two-day duration of the summit.

A huge security operation involving 9,000 British police officers will secure a luxury Welsh golf resort hosting a NATO summit later this week, officials said Tuesday.

Officers deployed across the golf course at the Celtic Manor Resort, in Newport, and along a 13-kilometre (eight-mile) steel fence around the site in anticipation of the arrival of 67 world leaders for crisis talks on Russia's role in the war in Ukraine.

US President Barack Obama is attending the meeting of the military alliance and security is tight, not least because Britain last week raised its terrorism threat level.

Overall, about 20 kilometres of security fencing has been erected around key venues in Newport and Cardiff, patrolled by squads of police on motorbikes as well as helicopters flying overhead. Police officers also fanned across the hotel's golf course, where hosted the 2010 Ryder Cup.

In a symbolic show of military strength, six warships will be anchored during the summit in Cardiff Bay, from Britain, France, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Norway.

And now we know why Obama is suddenly such an engaged, world-class diplomat.

Vladimir Putin who knows Ukraine very well, offered a solution that would keep the country intact without infringing upon the rights of any religious or ethnic groups within the country. Had it been accepted and not rejected outright by Yatsenuk, who was America's poster boy at the time, there would be thousands of Ukrainian boys alive today.

But these genius' had a better idea, and that was to ethnically cleanse anyone in Nuvorussiya who wasn't willing to give up their Russian cultural and religious identity, so they started burning, bombing, hacking, and killing them off in whichever way they could. Once the civilians were forced to leave, they would make sure that none of them would return by destroying their homes and industries.

I guess the Washington supported junta felt that since these methods worked during Clinton and Albright's illegitimate war with Serbia it would work again. Belgrade was bombed for seventy eight days then on a pretext of genocide, something which they were never able to prove. What has been proven albeit twenty years too late, is that the Albanians were killing Serbs and selling their body parts. At the time Clinton used the CNN propaganda machine to 'dummify' the American people into believing the Kosovo war was a just war by the U.S., rather than a criminal enterprise.

Clinton has since managed to present himself as a hero through the propaganda networks, when in reality a quarter of a million Serbs were ethnically cleansed from their historical homelands, and over one hundred ancient monasteries and churches were destroyed...all under the eyes of Nato and the U.N. It was Clinton who made Russia realize that the U.S. could not be trusted in anything, and so it started a massive build up of its armed forces.

You don't get it. There is no one left to drive them and no troops willing to continue fighting. If Washington wants to control Ukraine they will have to appoint a new king and bring NATO troops in. It will just be Hunter Biden's battle field with Ukrainians as the expendable cannon fodder.

I'm waiting for a surprise from Russia during the Nato conference, other than the forty thousand men military exercise they are holding. Will it be an uprising in other parts of Ukraine? Will it be a takeover of Odessa by the militia? Will it be a takeover of Kiev by the militia? Who know? We'll just have to wait and see.

They should be entitled to write their own self determination agreement. They lost a lot of innocent citizens to win this civil war. The losers don't get to make demands.

I agree and now that they have surrendered and been let go the East gets to write their own ticket.
"It all began with Ukrainian women demanding that their man be saved from the cauldrons in which 7'000+ of them are surrounded. These woman have organized protests in front of the Ukie Presidency and General Staff and, of course, they were ignored. Except for Putin who apparently heard them and who officially requested that the Novorussians provide the Ukies with humanitarian corridors to leave. The only Novorussian demand was that they leave behind their heavy weapons and ammo, but they were allowed to keep their unit banners (to avoid humiliating them). The junta first disagreed, but some local Ukie commanders took up the offer and apparently certain units have already left this way. Now think of the irony: the Ukrainian woman protest and demand that their men be spared and its the Russian President to hears their plea and makes it happen!

This way to combine the morally right and tactically ingenious is one of the key characteristics of Putin's method: he wins, but never by doing the ugly thing, instead he wins by doing the right thing. Brilliant!"

    The rebels have lost.

May be wisely kind decisions of certain Ukie's commanders would help them in the future, this would be a good credit, if they got captured.

If you read between the lines, it's clear that NATO rejected Ukraine before the talks. Western media is putting out headlines like "Ukraine deserves support even if it doesn't join" and now this ceasefire, obviously they told him that he isn't going to receive membership.

Putin also did the right thing when they were ready to bomb Damascus in order to support the terrorists, yet who was it that won the peace prize; Obama, which goes to show that our great Western civilization is now being run by a bunch of sociopaths without the simplest semblance of right or wrong. Oh well so much for the E.U.'s 'secular humanism' thing. It's not working too well is it?

As for Poroshenko, he didn't care if the troops lived or died. He didn't want them to surrender until Putin intervened. No doubt Porko's running for his life now from the Nazis the same way Yanukovich did, which makes me wonder if the Nazis do take over, then wouldn't the militia have to go into Kiev? Is this what Rasmussen is afraid of? 59374_vest_rasmusen.jpg

Of course it could be the oligarchs like Yatsenuk that are frightened, since they're the ones who support Nato. Maybe they're afraid of losing their ill gotten wealth. One does have to wonder?

Seems to me some posters are so brainwashed by the Western media, that they can't accept reality even when it's being shoved in front of their face. Unbelievable! :disbelief::
