I never attach any significance to the foibles of those show biz types, and I think this is the first time that I ever started a thread regarding a news account about one of them.

But, if you feel compelled to attack the messenger to avoid addressing the incident reported, so be it.

Ah, I would suggest the Palin's are the progressive's "first obsession."

 

Some will try anything to avoid actually commenting on a topic.

Their being so upset would not be nearly so obvious if they just ducked it entirely - like the one about TP Sammy's disastrous Red State Model.

Especially in a flame bait thread where the only two options are to pile on and join in the circle jerk of derision and schadenfreude or to defend a public brawl of uncertain origin.

I concur; let her go back to hunting moose or buffalo or whatever it is she hunts. If we ignore her, she'll fade into relative obscurity.

 

I really don't think that I've ever initiated another discussion about a media celebrity's antics, and am surprised by the rage it provokes.

But, a month ago? One Palindrone on this thread is inexplicably fantasizing about days of yore when he imagined that "Teddy Kennedy and his nephews would get liquored up and go out on the town assaulting and molesting any unfortunate woman they might drunkenly stumble upon" instead of addressing the recent improprieties of the brawling Palins and the topic of this discussion.

Such hyper-partisan avoidane is just silly. If someone wants to fluff off the brawl by a blithe, "Hey! They're just ugly drunks! So what?", it would at least exhibit the courage of honestly confronting the matter of the melee.

The antics of Teddy Kennedy and Chris Dodd making a waitress sandwich, or William Kennedy Smith, Patrick J. Kennedy and Uncle Teddy forcing themselves on the local Palm Beach ladies are hardly a fantasy as much as one would love to imagine otherwise.

And by way of bringing in real serious family dysfunction I have hoped to bring perspective on this Palin brawl but I apologize for not piling on
a public faux pas with the zeal you hoped everyone would but why should I bring coals to Newcastle just to thrill you?
