I think Dr. Carson is gonna be Rep's silver bullet.

    Why?

Because his running for the campaign would effectively cripple liberals' major weaponry, yep, the race card.

Or better yet, he can expose how incredibly some liberals really are.

He is an extremely intelligent man, a successful brain surgeon. I'm sure Prez Obama can seek help from him regarding why he can't do without a teleprompter. After all, it's just neuroscience. Ziiiiing!

He would show that what matters isn't skin color or background, (hey, he doesn't have a banker parent!) it's all what you believe. He would show that believing in a losers' ideology such as that of the mainstream liberals' — that you should rely on others for your own well-being, that you should cry and vote for what you want instead of working for it, that you should blame everything on society, on your surroundings instead of taking personal responsibility — will only lead you to further failure. He would show what it means to be self-reliant, self-sufficient and self-respecting.

He would show you there is a great difference between "having a black president" and "having a capable, intelligent black president".

He would show you what true blood Americans are made of.

All that, if the republicans are NOT racist enough to let him run.

    He's Herman Cain part 2.

Jeb Bush and Rand Paul have better shots.

If he is not the nominee, I hope who ever is, will name Carson his VP.

What they're just going to say instead is that he's a token black and an uncle Tom. Personally I'm still unfamiliar with his stances and policies so I'm undecided as far as he is concerned but for those who have been playing the race card non stop are only going to accuse his supporters of playing politics and will refuse to accept that anyone might follow him because of his policies. It's the same kind of mental deficiency that refuses to believe or accept that any criticism aimed towards Obama is about anything other then color.

Not unless he's got something in his past we don't know about.

I don't think Jeb Bush has a snowball's chance in hell. People are tired of the Bush name. Even Republicans.

Last time I checked, he still identified as an independent. Which could potentially work in his favor. I do think he'll probably end up running as a Republican, but the primary reason would be that it's much harder to get elected outside of one of the two major parties. And his views are much closer to conservative than progressive. By, like, a LOT. He is very much a common sense guy. Which is a large part of his appeal.

But I think you're right. The haters and critics won't see that. They'll just accuse people of only voting for him because he's black...... which will be called racist...... just like not voting for Obama for the same reason was supposedly racist...... however that's supposed to add up without contradicting itself.

I don't think he will even run, he seems to much of a *real* christian to push the ideas of the rabid conservative party.

I hope you weren't dumb enough to give money to the Draft Ben Carson for President Committee.

Because, if you did, you've been had.

The Committee is not affiliated in any way with Carson, and funnels all the money it collects from gullible conseervatives into the pockets of right wing media consultants and direct mail companies. Many of them are paper companies controlled by the Committee's treasurer.

Not one thin dime of it ever went to Carson.

    Carson is another Herman Cain.

Cain was a fake candidate, and Carson is too. But he got a nice paying gig on Fox Noise to promote himself on, sell books and up his speaking fee.

I think he's a decent man, hanging out and being used by some very unsavory people. That makes him different from Cain. Cain is con man in his own right. His campaign was never anything but a money raising scam.

Ben Carson has no business being in politics. He doesn't know (*)(*)(*)(*) about it. If he did, he would put a quick stop to the fast buck artists who are profiting off his name.

This time the scammers are using Carson's name. They did the same thing to Allen West.

We like Ben Carson. We have read his stuff for the last 24 months or so and are really impressed.

Whether successful doctors can make the transition to politics and global leadership remains to be seen. But we are certainly ready to give him a chance. Isn't America the place where anybody can grow up to be President?

    Run Ben Run!

(2nd choice would be Trey Gowdy. VP? Dream ticket anyone?)

Wow -- that's really touching. Your depth of concern for the financial decisions of your ideological adversaries is well noted.

Or as they say... You know you're over the target when you're getting lots of flak.

After this current president? Hell yea.

It's just Obama gave this expression a whole new meaning, and it isn't necessarily positive, or solemn.

You're right that the public has no interest in seeing another Bush on the right, or another Clinton on the left. However, the Dem/Rep "leadership" doesn't give a damn and will nominate that duo to kiss it out for the white house likely.

The latest lame duck spending bill passage and the way it was done should tell you all you need to know about how much the establishment GOP hates the very people who just gave them full control of congress in a landslide election.

The GOP (Cruz, Lee, Gowdy, ect. excluded) want a big government to run just like the Democrats do. They claim they can do so slightly better:roll:

Carson is too good for the position.

Instead of the left hyper-focusing on bringing him down, he should just stick to giving the black community common sense advice to counter what they get from Sharpton/Jackson/Holder/Obama.

It is hilarious to realize that the same Republicans that claimed a Community Organizer didn't have the qualifications and experience to be President all of a sudden are willing to think a brain surgeon would be qualified.

Conservatives often make the mistake of thinking their black candidate trumps the race card. This is incorrect. The liberal response is always to label the black candidate as a sellout. And it usually works.

Alone on her couch, the old black woman probably loves Ben Carson. Alone in the voting booth, she'll still vote Democrat regardless. Her suspicion that Carson is a puppet being controlled by the rich, powerful, white GOP will override any positive feelings she has about the man and his true intentions.

This... from the guy who called me a racist for not having black women as avatars. Derp.

When did the left care about qualified candidates ?

    Let's see...
a lying, race-baiting, community organizing, foreign policy failure..... or a respectable brain surgeon who isn't afraid to speak truth.

    What?

I didn't express any concern about the financial conditions of any adversaries.

I was just pointing out that the people ginning up the Run Ben Run campaigns are a bunch of con men.

I guess you had to try and put words in my mouth, since you can't deny the point I made!

    - - - Updated - - -

I don't think Ben Carson is a sell out.

I know he's being sold out, though.

Playing "the race card" in elections effectively means offering White voters a White candidate since most voters - and 90% of Republicans - are White.

Solomon "Benny Bones" Carson, as a Black American, has no chance whatsoever of winning the GOP nomination. Even if he were White, his enthusiasm for socialized medicine would make him anathema to Republicans.

I think that a Carson presidential run would shame the Bachmann presidential run for unknowing and outrageous statements.

Whilst I am certain that Carson may be a very good neurosurgeon, a presidential race is a lot different than speaking to a room of adoring tea party fans trying to convince themselves they are not anti black bigots.

I think Carson may be the Palin of 2016 in some regards. I think that he will consistently say things that are fairly ignorant, and then blame the media for reporting it.

Nobody believes Carson will be the Nominee or the Veep.

Like Alan Keyes, like Herman Cain....he's just in there "for show". So white rightwingers can claim the GOP is "diverse".....while of course not actually voting for Carson.

It's the same deal. Gimmicky black guy runs for GOP. He'll show up for the first few debates, but after his polling numbers evaporate, he'll become an occasional novelty speaker on Fox News.
