You have no idea how much raw intelligence we get from the Israelis in the middle east. I suggest you start learning about our human intelligence relationship with Israel. God knows how many lives they've saved because of their intelligence.

So where were you in the Middle East and how long did you live there?

Yes we get it. You tell everyone that you lived there for 20 something years. Cool. Other people can have opinions too.

They do not give us near as much intel as you seem to believe and they do not share everything they learn and have been caught spying on us also. I will take the Brits who stand by us in the foxholes over some expensive stepchildren every time.

Really? You were a 35 Mike too? What did you like most about the nerd farm?

:) I love meeting other human intelligence gatherers. I reclassed from infantry so you know that the MO2 was a huge moneysaver for me.

Care to tell us more about your background?

I did not live in the middle east, although there were a few times when it felt like I had. While attached to the USS Independence in 1967-68, I was assigned to the Master at Arms office during our deployment to the Med. My duties consisted of shore patrol at every every port of call in the Med. This included Beirut, Lebanon and Istanbul Turkey. As I stated earlier I have no desire to go back, and I also have no desire to defend my feelings on this matter. It is the simply the way I feel toward the middle east. You lived over there 20 years? Good for you. I could not live there 20 minutes. Good for me.

    I'll save Margot the trouble.

Margot lived in the middle east for 20 years and thinks that only their opinion matters. I personally have been there a few times for extended periods of time, and know exactly how those guys operate.

But to Margot, we don't get to have opinions.

By the way, I served in the Mass 182nd Army National Guard and served with you Vermont boys. Few of them volunteered for my deployment.

Nope 11B, 76Y and 21L. Worked 20 years contracting with the DOD, on many projects and subjects.

Thank you for your service, but until you graduate from the nerd farm and start some cases, it's really hard to say you know about the intelligence world. I'm assuming those other two MOS' are the same now (unit supply and film?).

Israel is no ally at all. You've just swallowed the propaganda.

11B you know, partly correct on the 76Y, it is also a unit armorer which I was, and 21L was a Pershing Missile Electronics repairman. With the DOD about every topic you can name, including a lot of classified data, but no I did not graduate from the nerd farm I dealt with dealing with the results.

There are no Al Qaeda or Taliban in Iran. I wish there were - then you'd have a point.

Yes I remember the 6 day war when Israel pre-emptively attacked Egypt and Syria and Jordan.

Egypt, Syria and Jordan had it coming. Israel launched a series of preemptive airstrikes against Egyptian airfields on June 5, 1967 following the mobilisation of Egyptian forces along the Israeli border in the Sinai Peninsula. Don't want to fight a war, don't rattle your sabres and mobilize your forces like you do want to fight. I have no sympathy for the stupid arabs. They are their own worst enemy when it comes to dealing with Israel. After they get their arses handed to them, they go crying to any liberal that will listen to them. Are you listening?

I am well aware of the circumstances surrounding the war. I was correcting the mistaken comment of another poster, not offering justification or additional editorial.

I'm sure it will come as a shock to you, but I agree with you and Abba Eban. The Palestinians have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

I do find it interesting that you lump arab whining in with liberals. I suppose one can justify imposing a generational spanning belligerent military occupation on a group of people in all manner of fashions, but it doesn't negate the underlying facts.

Whining is an all to human trait, certainly not confined to arabs or liberals, but prevalent in all other ethnicities and ideologies. For instance, there is an incessant whine coming from conservatives but most conservatives don't recognize it for what it actually is.

LOL! The last thing the USA will do is help em develop nukes. Iran is a clear and present danger to the USA and its best ally Israel.

Israel is not America's best ally, its only Neo-Zionist propaganda to say so.
