You're beginning to sound like Mussolini, who had desires to rebuild the Roman Empire by attacking Greece. If the Germans didn't delay their invasion of Russia so the Greeks wouldn't march to Rome, Germany would have won the war. Anyway I hate to break this to you, but you're not the heirs of the Roman Empire....they left for the Bosporus with Constantine...remember? You're the heirs of slaves, and the German invaders...with a few Greeks thrown in. Anyway the real Romans are the ones who still call themselves Romans, and who are also known as Romans by everyone in the Near and Middle East. They are not Greeks you know, they're really Greek speaking Romans...with a few Franks, Venetians and Genovese thrown in.
bull(*)(*)(*)(*) as usual. German invaders never settled in italy. Their numbers are estimated as low as 12.000 at all. And genetic tests show that we are in most parts identical to the romans back then. So stop your nonsense. If you start to insult my ancestors and my heritage you cross the red line and will definitly end on my ban list.
Everywhere we went they were working except for maybe Assisi. In Rome they had scaffolding around the arch of Constantine and the Colosseum. In Napoli there was no major work, but up closer to the volcano in Pompeii they were doing a lot of work. Fiorenza has some stuff going on but not a lot. Cavitaveccia they were working on the port for the big cruise ships. I would assume the taxes cover all that work though. And of course the foreigners come in as tourists and spend quite a bit.
Did you visit pompeii directly? Too bad you tell me now, i could have organized you a tour when its closed and empty, since my aunt works there in the administration. Did you also visit capri.
They have sent several satellites up, and several dockings to the international space station. However, nobody is expected to launch a rocket outside of the earths gravity.
are you kidding me? Europe has a spacecraft in orbit around a comet, around mars and venus and saturn. USA around mercury, mars, jupiter, ceres and soon pluto.
Yeah - we went all through Pompeii. We parked down at the bottom road where all those food trucks were, and then walked up there and spent a few hours. We should have gone to Capri. Not sure why we didn't. Guess we just got too caught up in fishing and sailing in Naples. We spent about a week in Roma / Vatican City; then drove the tires off our VW and visited a lot of Italy for about a week and a half. Then we did a week on a cruise ship, and came back and spent a few days in Marsailles and then another few days in Roma, and eventually headed off to Amsterdam. We are planning another long visit; this time for two months. But the plan is we are going to spend two months in Spain, starting at Pamplona and walking the Camino de Santiago. We are planning on 8 to 9 weeks for that.
MOD EDIT>>RULE 2<<< he is talking about how everything that has mass is attracted to everything else that has mass. So I guess you could be on Jupiter and still have some sort of undetectable pull from Earth? That'd probably be a question for a physicist. If everyone on Earth was smart; there is no way you could get someone to flip burgers and drop fries; and a Big Mac would end up costing $25.
Well...of,course you could with a super sensitive sensor detect the gravity of rosy o donell on pluto but i somehow doubt that he means this.
Maybe I'm just pointing out how uneducated stating "left earth gravitational field" is, without defining a field strength, or other metric?
Doesn't the fact that he said "Earth" define the field strength in question? After all, the equation for Earth's escape velocity is not all that complicated.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/metric I didn't see where he define what he meant... I mean, what metric he was using. When you achieve escape velocity, you still have not "left earth gravitational field."
Wait a second, weren't the Goths Germans and then what about the Lombards and the Franks? This of course doesn't mean that the majority of people in Italy were Germans, only the northern Italians and the nobility was...and that it did influence the culture some what. So you can't really say it's the same as the Roman culture now can you? I mean you people do speak Italian and not Latin. Now a question for you, why do you keep insulting the ethnicity and culture of the Russians, if you don't want people insulting your own?
yup, longbards were german. And genetic research shows that not more than 12.000 settled in italy. There never were large movements of populations. But what do i tell you. Its not like you are able to understand anything. Italian is latin. In case you didn't notice its the developed for, of it. Languages change over time. As an italian you understand latin since its in most parts identical.
No, it did not crash during landing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_3 "Mars 3's descent module was released at 09:14 UT on December 2, 1971, 4 hours 35 minutes before reaching Mars. The descent module entered the Martian atmosphere at roughly 5.7 km/s. Through aerodynamic braking, parachutes, and retrorockets, the lander achieved a soft landing at 45°S 202°ECoordinates: 45°S 202°E[5] and began operations".
LOL, You left out the next paragraph....what a convenient omission from the wiki page. "After 14.5 seconds, at 13:52:25, transmission on both data channels stopped for unknown reasons and no further signals were received at Earth from the Martian surface. It is not known whether the fault originated with the lander or the communications relay on the orbiter. The cause of the failure may have been related to the extremely powerful martian dust storm taking place at the time which may have induced a coronal discharge, damaging the communications system. The dust storm would also explain the poor image lighting.[4]" MISSION FAILURE.
The conversation was about landing, if the USSR was able to launch the spacecraft to the planet that is out of the earth orbit. The answer was yes. It was able. Transmission of the signal has nothing to do with the engines themselves, but rather electronics. Yet, the transmission of the signal from Mars was done. For 14 seconds or 140 seconds- it is another issue. Therefore, this flight is considered a successive one.
The same failure as the gecko mating experiment. http://www.csmonitor.com/Science/2014/0903/Russia-s-zero-g-lizard-mating-experiment-ends-badly I think funding problem still plagued Roscosmos.
The mission was designed to return images of Mars to earth. The only image transmitted was completely unrecognizable...MISSION FAILURE. Mission Failure
Of course, for those, who has no imagination, the image was unrecognizable. US was anyhow behind USSR as it succeeded in landing later
Viking 1...Later? Yes, but it successfully completed it's mission. Viking 1 was the first of two spacecraft (along with Viking 2) sent to Mars as part of NASA's Viking program.[2] It was the first spacecraft to successfully land on Mars and perform its mission,[3] and held the record for the longest Mars surface mission of 2307 days[2] 2307 days...compared to Mars 3's 14.5 seconds.
