It's all Bush's fault! He cut back federal funding so much that people are out of work and spending too much time in the water. That means sharks have far more tempting arms and legs to deal with and are just doing what comes naturally. Let's put all those lazy swimmers back to work and they won't get bit. :salute:

I remember watching Jaws IV and wondering how a Great White managed to swim from Massachusetts all the way to the Bahamas in less than one day. Maybe Jaws got a pilots license.

The conservative solution would be to kill all the sharks in the area to make it safe again. Humans are more valuable than animals. Liberals care more about animals than humans.

There is a large film studio in Wilmington. Fox has a studio in Charlotte. They should send reps to buy the film footage. Pay the victims' families for the rights and it would help defray the medical costs.
Democrats like John Edwards would prefer ambulance chaser lawyers sue the beach.

    WE need more regulations!
Post signs telling the sharks they are not allowed to swim in the area.
It would be as effective as gun control.

Since the liberals care so much about animals, why don't they go swimming in these waters? Those poor hungry sharks are starving out there or they would not have been on the beach to start with. Won't you please help feed them? Sacrifice is needed for the common welfare of the sharks. We'll get Sally Struthers to do some tv ads for it.

It's the Kochsteau Cartel. They're paying off King Triton to upgrade shark attacks so the publicity can make Ariel's next anti shark movie open over 500 mil. This will be enough for Ariel's college

Phillippe Cousteau once publicly dressed down Robert Benchley for all the errors about sharks he perpetuated and even originated in "Jaws" on the Tonight Show. He said it might end up making Sharks endangered, and some now are. Although sharks may have just retreated. It is a known fact that no fixed Shark fishery has ever succeeded, even in the Red Sea, which is famous for Sharks. Sharks seem to know when an area becomes dangerous for them and leave

It should be easy to find this out: interview the victims and discover which is their political orientation ...

Absolutely tragic, especially given how young they were. I've been there before, as well as Ocean Isle Beach, where an attack happened about a week ago. An attack that bad is pretty rare for the area.

A shark free zone like the gun free zones we see in Chicago, L.A, and Fort Hood. :roflol:

I blame global warming. It is driving sharks mad.

Now if any of you are show runners for Discovery, might I suggest Baywatch 2: East Coast. I'm sure there are some former Disney Channel stars who are hard up for blow and attention who could get some plastic work done.

this topic is the result of some real ignorance. Bees/Wasps kill way more people then sharks.
