One you would have to prove there is a god. And if you did if he is all powerful why did he let this happen.

 

So why not now allow polygamy? It wont hurt you. Why should the state and people be forced to change the definition of marriage. Marriage is the union of a man and a woman. If they can change the man and woman part they can change the number of people allowed in a marriage.

The fact that so many homophobes are sad is half of the reason why I'm completely ecstatic. The only thing better than my people gaining more equality is those that hate my people suffering as a result of their own bigotry.

Apathy is not a good thing. Not questioning issues like this just shows how folks are more interested in self than the world around them. Why should anyone care about the rain forest if they do not live there?

Remember the "mind your own business" Right....hate it when people don't do what they tell them to do....even as they make that charge against "lib'ruls."

 

This decision only says that gays etc. are to be treated like everybody else.

 

What compelling interest does the government have in banning the free association and expression of consenting adults where there is no one being harmed against their will?

Disrupting the social fabric of society is not considered no one being harmed. With the current, 'it's all about me' generation, that hardly registers.

 

Or perhaps it reflects the generous spirit of good people who want the best for others.

Pardon me if I don't view the anti-gay marriage crowd as selfless stewards of human morality.

 

I wasn't aware the social fabric of society was an individual right.

 

Read the 14th Amendment its black and white English, they made the right decision and an appalled this wasn't a bigger margin like 6-3 or more. They have a legal right to marry now which is by its nature a stabilizing force and so is good if its good for straight couples its good for same gender couples.

Are your beliefs so weak they can't survive in the marketplace of ideas without a government bailout?

 

Most people who were against gay marriage are probably over it and accept it, but I think there's going to be a rampage by some anti-gay nut within the next week. That's just my prediction, we'll see if I'm right.
