African Americans have killed more Americans than jihadists.

Using this thread to provide a statistical basis for my claim, it is a fact that African Americans have killed more Americans than jihadists in the period since 9/11. Statistically speaking, they are more dangerous that jihadists, and even white supremacists. The thread I referenced suggested we treat white supremacist organizations as terrorists. By that logic then we need to visit the same scrutiny upon African Americans. This is an opinion based on facts and posted in accordance with the thread creation rules of Political Forum.

On a similar note, more women have been murdered by their husbands/partners in Australia than by terrorism activities.

 

Statistics are generally the bottom line when it comes to cutting through the crap, aren't they?

 

White Americans are are more likely to commit corporate crime and stock frauds. Should white Americans be allowed to work on Wall Street or on Corporate Boards?

Looking at the table you shared, over 4,000 are unknown by race. I can agree with you if this information gets reconciled in your position's favor. Until then, this is a bull(*)(*)(*)(*) claim.

 

Even if every single 'unknown' is proven to be white, statistically blacks are still more dangerous than both white supremacists and jihadists combined.

 

Here is what popped out at me immediately, even before I was able to put it into words. Black crime in the USA does not have a nucleus with one consistent and common ideology. Hate groups feed off of their warped ideologies, whether it be radical religious beliefs of radical bigotry. These stats, although troubling, can be crimes that are more than likely independently motivated and perpetrated for a variety of reasons and circumstances. I think it is clear that I am not condoning or excusing, but the cult type crimes are born of religious fervor or supremacist arrogance and ignorance is just scarier and more difficult to destroy. Education, better mental healthcare and a real chance to succeed would go far to remedy much of the black crimes, but ideology driven crime runs too deep in the hearts and minds of the perpetrators.

And what is up with the "unknown " column? We don't know where those "unknowns" would fall when all is said and done.

 

This comparison doesn't make sense. Why not compare black supremacist murders to white supremacist murders? Aside from that, the most dangerous person to an average American is typically the one with the same skin tone as themselves.

 

what time frame? black inner city crime is new phenomon that has only existed, for only the last few decades, as a result of white flight and segregation laws, but for the last few centuries white americans, have done nothing but murder people, white americans history is basically defined by who they were killing at the time, and how.

African Americans are not a like-minded, voluntary organization of people motivated by a shared belief/philosophy. Comparing African Americans, as a group, to white supremacists and Jihadists is stupid.

 

I guess *shrug*. Using your per capita logic, White supremacist have killed far more Americans than Blacks have. There's far fewer of them...Like a handfull, which makes them the most dangerous by far.

Ok... They commit more murders than the entire white population which outnumbers them more than 3:1.

13% of the population committed what percent of murders in 2013? Oh that's right... 52%..

"White" also includes Hispanics since the US did not have another category for them until this year.

 

The majority of African Americans, like the majority of White Americans, have not committed any murders. So far less than 13% of the population committed the majority of murders. Breaking down crime statistics by race is pointless, it provides no useful information.
