"A Haitian man claims to have been poisoned and buried alive, only to be exhumed shortly after, drugged, and forced to work on a sugar plantation with others just like him. Much of his story has been backed up by a psychiatrist, two US-trained doctors, and a Harvard-educated ethnobotanist."

Clairvius Narcisse was a poor Haitian man who became deathly ill in 1962. His symptoms included fever, trouble breathing, and the feeling of bugs crawling under his skin. He was taken to a hospital some distance from his home. While there he was seen and treated by two doctors (one was an American and the other had been trained in the United States). After some time, he took a turn for the worse and was pronounced dead. He was buried shortly after, but he claims he was never really dead."

"Narcisse’s story is that he woke up in his coffin in a daze. He believed he was poisoned or under a spell. The next night, he was exhumed by a Bokor, or Vodou shaman, and taken to an unknown location. He was given some sort of concoction that put him in a zombie-like trance. The substance left him perceptible to suggestion, and he says he was forced to work on a sugar plantation day and night. Each day, the same concoction was given to him and others on the farm to keep them compliant."

I see you are cherry picking a definition of the term. I showed clear and distinct evidence (legal evidence) that "Zombies" are real. Period.

To evidence that you are cherry picking a definition, see below:
    "
    zom·bie

(zŏm′bē)n.1. a. In voodoo belief and popular folklore, a corpse that has been reanimated, especially by means of a supernatural power or spell.
    b. One who looks or behaves like an automaton.
    c. A computer connected to the internet and controlled by a remote unauthorized user to perform malicious tasks, without the owner being aware.

    2. A bank or business that cannot meet its financial obligations or make new loans but has been allowed to continue operating by the government.
    3. A snake god of voodoo cults in West Africa, Haiti, and the southern United States.
    4. A tall mixed drink made of various rums, liqueur, and fruit juice."

    or

"Foreign phrases: Extra legem positus est civiliter mortuus. He who is placed outside the law is civilly dead."

    "
CIVIL DEATH, persons. The change of the state (q.v.) of a person who is declared civilly dead by judgment of a competent tribunal. In such case, the person against whom such sentence is pronounced is considered dead. 2 John. R. 218. See Gilb. Uses, 150; 2 Bulst. 188; Co. tit. 132; Jenk. Cent. 250; 1 Keble, 398; Prest. on Convey. 140. Vide Death, civil.

A Law Dictionary, Adapted to the Constitution and Laws of the United States. By John Bouvier. Published 1856."

But that person is a member of the 'Walking dead'.

In the case of Rod Zombie and his wife, by changing his family name (and subsequently through marriage changing her name) have developed yet another definition of the term 'Zombie'. Period.

Did you or did you not state the above? Challenging someone's intellect for what ever reason is an insult and against forum rules. It's as much against the rules as calling someone stupid or a moron.

Did you or did you not admit to smoking some weed with the Chilean kid? Yes or no.

It was your admission and the above are indicators of the facts behind the use of "weed" commonly known as marijuana. Now if you want to call your admission and the association of your admission of cold medical facts an insult, then you should not be admitting to things that can be insulting to you and your behavior.

Haha, I've been away from this forum for ages, and one of the first things I see when I decide to look around for old times sake is Incorporeal being dishonest as always. Fun times.

Based on the well known story, Jesus was a zombie. I just can't recall if he stumbled around eating brains after the resurrection though....

Where is there a showing of dishonesty other than in your mind?

How about where you link to a site that discusses "people who smoke cannabis or marijuana for six years or more" to back up your assumption that someone who "smoked a joint or two" has had his intellect influenced by it.

Face it, you remain pathologically incapable of honest discussion.

So you are suggesting that smoking cannabis, even in small amounts, on infrequent occasions, will not cause an impairment of ones perception of reality during the time of that exposure to cannabis?

No, I know you said "is or was". It WAS influenced at the point of smoking, no doubt. Making the "is" part unnecessary, leading, and dishonest. And now you're dragging it out to pretend otherwise. You just can't help it can you? Ah well, it's been fun, no doubt I'll be back in a few months to see some more of your dishonesty. Don't you change, Inc! Take care!

Zombies are reputed to be real in Haiti and some other Caribbean nations. There was a book and movie on them called "The Serpent and the Rainbow" and it was connected to a drug made from the puffer fish that some shamans reputedly used to turn people into Zombies. The drug has some uses in the standard pharmacopeia but I don't believe it was widely effective at anything or is used any more.

The stories still surface from time to time. They generally turn out to be frauds and/or something much more mundane, they have become an urban legend in the area.

Talk about dishonesty... look for yourself and see the dishonesty you are presenting by not making an accurate quote. What I said in relevant part was "You made the point very clear.... your intellect is or was influenced by drug inducement. " He made the admission of using cannabis and the articles I presented showed that the intellect can be affected by the use of cannabis. Try again. BTW.... perceptions of reality are a foundational part of the intellect. One of the links I previously provided was in error... here is the correct link for the one that was in error... http://www.ibtimes.com/marijuana-effects-brain-study-finds-smoking-weed-can-distort-memories-create-false-1892398
