Mass shootings are those where four or more people are injured or killed. With these new statistics, right-wingers will assure everyone that more people carrying guns is the only cure. But, when the shooting starts, will those open carry advocates know exactly who to shoot? Or, will their typical reactionary idiocy hold true and have them firing blindly, causing an even higher death toll? I don't think radical Islamic Jihadis and crazies got the eMail that they just can't shoot up gun free zones.......Or they specifically chose them knowing no one could defend themselves there. Columbine.....gun free zone. Virginia Tech.....gun free zone. Newtown CT.....gun free zone. Aurora Colorado Theater.....gun free zone. Lafayette, LA theater.....gun free zone. Washington Navy Yard shooting.....gun free zone. Fort Hood shooting.....gun free zone. I just can't seem to find what they all had in common?
Most shootings in America occur in Democrat toilets like Chicago and Detroit where there are already onerous gun control laws. Don't blame all Americans for the failures of Democrats. It's not fair to the rest of us.
The argument could be made that cars are more deadly. But everyone has one, so no one would make the argument there needs to be more control of cars. That's the same way guns were in America. In the old days on the frontier, virtually every household had one, so restrictions would have sounded like pure absurdity.
Hmmmm...I find it interesting that in 169 of the 203 cases listed (83%), that the shooter was UNKNOWN. In my mind, that means it was someone using a gun in an unintended fashion, and most likely, without reading every story behind each incident, the shooting was gang or drug related. So without you saying it, I'm fairly certain you are in favor of additional gun control laws which will be followed by all criminals (known & unknown) who fear the repercussions of being caught with a gun while plying their trade of criminal activity. Is that correct? And to what degree do you wish to destroy the Second Amendment with your grand plan? Looking at how the government, at all levels, is in total control over the illegal use, transportation and sale of illegal drugs by the laws they have passes, I'm certain the outcome an be expected to be the same. But liberals, hoplophobes, panaphobes and even Automatonophobes will sleep better if guns are taken away from law abiding citizens. Yet another wet dream of the control crowd who want to exert dominance over the good people of this country, because they are impotent against the people who are the real problem.
