The US has lost the respect of virtually the entire world and no rogue nations fear us at all. There are more people on welfare, food stamps and assistance programs than in the history of the country including the Great Depression. Mexico, Europe and Asia are sucking the blood right out of our economies. The media are shills for both parties which is why the real picture is never presented to the public. You are correct, land line analog telephones so the poor could have a phone to dial 911 in case of an emergency. It was never the intention of providing free cell phones to drug dealers so they can conduct drug business on a street corner.

Many drug deals have been conducted over analog phones. I don't even know anybody who has an analog phone anymore. I know most Cons are still living in the dark ages, but times and technology does change.
Only stupid people don't own at least one analog phone. If you ever been through an earth quake, there is no phone cell service for awhile after the shaking. Only so many people can be using a cell phone at any given time, overload the system, nobody has cell phone service. Major solar flare, no phone cell service. Power outages, if you don't have an analog land line phone, no phone service. Those cordless phones require AC power to operate. Power outages, you have to recharge that battery for your cell phone. Land line phones have their own power. I have one analog phone just in case. It's called taking personal responsibility and not being dependent on government. The problem today, it hard to find anyone selling analog phones. But if you can find one, it's a good $10 investment.

Good post. Giftedones reasoning is like saying that because a house under construction isn't yet a complete home, you can burn it down and it isn't arson. When in fact it is. Not to mention that the owners now have no place to live. All of that said, it is still a valid point that ones free agency or choice is priceless.
