Now that Turnbull is the PM, it will be interesting to see which way we go regarding
    so many things:
    CHaFTA
    Shenhua
    12000 Refugees
Our part in the war in the ME
    Manus Island Detention Centre
    GST
and others which do not come to mind...
With a new broom at the helm...it could sweep pretty clean too...as the saying goes.....

Turnbull is not the PM. The Liberal Party voted to elect a new leader of the Liberal Party. They'll now have to ask the Governor General to appoint Turnbull as the new Prime Minister. The GG could legally say no.

    Well...yes....but will he.....
I know he hasnt even been sworn in yet...but when I say "now that he's PM..."
Its simply a figure of speech....that will eventuate when he is sworn in....

Not much will change. Turnbull still has to deal with the hard right in the Libs.

At least the Libs didnt have the mother in law of one of their senior ministers like the ALP did - imagine how messy it could of gotten then, if the GG had actual family ties to the shenanigans. In case you didn't know Bill Shorten dumped his wife and married Quentin Bryce's daughter - while she was GG. You don't hear much about the mud in the ALP because about 90% of the media is 'run' by Union loyalists, regardless of who owns particular outlets.

I wonder if rAbbott will get his PM pension!? What is it, 2 or 3 days off or something. Pretty nasty move by Turnbull if he undercuts him by such a small margin on that issue LOL

May I introduce you to 1975?

He became PM on the 18th of September, 2013. He shouldn't get it. Rules are rules!

The same s.h.i.t, just a different salesman. :roflol:

How 100 politicians who can change a legally elected Prime Minister should be the focus.

The $10,000 question. How drunk did Fraser get him, before he signed the dismissal orders?

The old fella loved his Gin. :alcoholic:

There will be bugger all change. The Coalition will continue doing the excellent job they have been doing. Labor don't have a hope in the next election now....

There will be one big change. We now have a Prime Minister who can string two sentences together. With different words in them I mean, with different words in them I mean.

There will be one big change. Turnbull will be a leader not a dictator.

Maybe you are right about the next election, and that has got to be a good thing hasn't it. I personally would like to see what Turnbull can do. If he is as good as I feel he is, it could be good days, but he has to control all the idiots in the party and get rid of all the big power brokers that run the Liberals.

We need a good mix of socialist policies as well as capitalist, if that balance is good we may survive what will surely come. Right wing Labor or Left wing Liberal, somewhere in there is the answer. The Greens will one day be the way to go I am sure, but when that time comes most here will agree.

This is about Turnbull not Abbott, but Lol, yep, just what I worried about Turnbull if it goes down like that

It's a bit of a socialist left attitude there... the left of the left is so nasty and twisted they always end up poor povo's or in jail. I worry about twisted people who hold grudges and try to screw others.

I hate to disappoint you, but I think you will eventually discover it will be the same old game, with a new salesman leading the pack of idiots. I think you might find he had to give certain promises to the "big power brokers" who pull the strings of the Liberal Party not to change anything to become PM. He might change a few really small things, but if you are expecting big changes, you are going to be disappointed.

FFS, he is a politician after all, and they only serve themselves and their string pullers. :roflol:

Besides the Snowy Mountains Scheme in the 1950's, when was the last time a politician did anything for Australia or the Australian people - not including selling assets and land off to foreigners, and make out its in the peoples best interest?
