    What are yours?

Here is my number one. Overplayed but excellent nonetheless (which is why it is overplayed)

    I like the Pilgrim's Chorus

    Saint-saens 3rd (especially the 2nd and 4th movemnents)

    Faure's Pavane

    Cyber Bird b Takshi Yoshimatsu

    Chopin's Etude No.3

    Allegri's Miserere

    Vivaldi's Winter

    Tailleferre's Vocalise for High Voice

    Ravel's Jeux D'Eau

Penderecki's Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima

And I'll just admit it: I like Rhapsody in Blue too...:frown:

    This is playful.

    This is satirical funny.

I like that Classical Music isn't all just for drama and droll, but also had it's own lighthearted moments that went down in history. - There's a place in Soho that has a plaque that says Mozart once performed there on Old Compton Street, I was like 'wow' - 'Apparently he played all over Europe' but, Mozart played Soho. - 'a little bit of wow still'.

Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" is a favorite. The CD Conducted by Felix Slatkin of the
Hollywood Bowl Symphony is one of the best versions.

Pagnini was once asked to produce his birth certificate to prove he wasn't the son of the Devil he played so well.
    ...
He also purposely tuned a string too tight so that it broke whilst he was performing, and finish his shows on the remaining strings.

I'm partial to the Etudes (Chopin).

And for no-brainer classical, Vivaldi, Pyotr Ilyich, Wolfgang, Ludwig, etc.

    Can't stand Strauss. Oompah!

    This isn't it.

I couldn't find the one I wanted. I wanted to post Beethoven's seventh symphony with Otmar Suitner and the Berlin Staatskappelle. I only bought it because I liked the 7th and I figured Denon knew what they were doing. I was right. I don't know how to say it, but the way Suitner does it just sounds right to me. I also like his ninth and now, his sixth.

    So, here's the sixth.
