Many women having abortions at three months and beyond are suffering. Questioning their decisions and if they were told prior to undergoing the abortion that the fetuses body parts would be sold, they likely may have made a different t decision.

Many of these women just stuff it under the rug.

“After the procedure, I felt completely numb. Not physically numb, but emotionally numb. I had difficulty processing what had just happened, and everything seemed surreal. It didn’t make sense how the world around me could be so normal. I felt like I had just been through hell, but yet, no one noticed. The world just kept right on turning.”

What's all this nonsense about body parts being sold? Would it really be any better if they were dumped in the trash? The core question is whether an actual, feeling, thinking person was destroyed. Unless you're talking about really late abortions, like past 20 weeks, then the answer is no. Women who feel morally bad about it would benefit from a better understanding of what a person is, and how the fetus was not one.

Aborting at 3 months is just terrible, most women are going to suffer a tremendous amount of guilt and grieving.
There's a little human being in there.

To abort past 4 months (I mean when nothing is physically wrong) the woman has to either be very ignorant or psychopathic.

This is an old topic and study after study disproves your assertion.

There is no reason to believe anything someone says on YouTube about themselves. The video is a vast collection of lies and liars. Abortions do not cause sterility. This is just Prolife liars junk.

They actually do, it's not all that uncommon.
My mother told me about one of her friends who had an abortion and was never able to have children after that.
In many other cases they are unable to know for sure whether the sterility was a result of an abortion earlier in the woman's life or just coincidence.
It's not just some made up prolife thing.

I have nothing but empathy for a woman living with regrets about her choices with respect to abortion, adoption or sterilization, or giving birth. These are all complicated and difficult paths to travel with very few clear guideposts along the way. It behooves us all to advocate for patience and understanding when any woman is feeling trapped by the circumstances surrounding a pregnancy and even more if the emotional aftermath leaves a woman in trauma, guilt or depression. The last thing any of them need, is to become political footballs in the abortion war. I am hoping that we avoid doing that, in this thread with these women. We don't have to agree with anyone's agenda to feel compassion. We don't have to agree on numbers, percentages or sources, to see pain, guilt, and regret in someone else.

My point was there are no studies where women that chose to have abortions are asked if they wish they they had not. And whether an elective n abortion beyond 3 months gestation should be legal. Not to mention whether the father should have a say in the decision.

I get that, I just hope that we separate the anecdotal 'story' offered by the clip, from your point. Its a sad tale, but really not evidence of much - until we respond to it. Then it becomes evidence about us, not abortion or its impact on women.

For all we know this was an actress. Considering the tone of these posts I certainly wouldn't put that past the anti freedom fanatics.

Really , these guys hatred of women and sex is pathological. They remind me of Skoptsi or the self-castrators of the early Church, except they blame the WOMEN, not themselves

They probably should have made better, more informed decisions before they or at the time of the conception......
Face this (IMO) fact........Woman who have abortions usually return to have another....and maybe another.....etc.

It's NOT a suffering problem. It's a responsibility problem. And many women (and men) are being irresponsibly.......

    How many women?

    Where are your stats?

How do YOU know they are "suffering" ?

Women who have abortions are ASKED if they wish the tissue be donated for life saving research.

    You're regurgitating ........

Show your UN-BIASED stats for how many women are "suffering tremendous guilt" ........

Show proof there's a "little human being "in there".

Your last comment clearly shows the misogyny associated with Anti-Choicers...

Anti-Choicers do NOT care about what women go through with pregnancy and child birth....as long as women deliver babies like good little cows they don't care what happens to women or children afterwards..

"We" have no business assuming other's have pain and guilt.

"We" are not responsible for judging other's pain and guilt.

"We" have no business trying to legislate to "protect" them from their pain and guilt.

"We" would be asses if thought it was any of our business.

There is a LOT of real pain involved in taking away women's human rights to their own bodies but somehow Anti-Choicers don't really care about THAT pain.

It is very responsible to have an abortion when you don't want or can't afford a kid.

About half of women having abortions have a repeat abortion. But this is the question to be answered: Why do women have unwanted pregnancies?

    https://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/gpr/10/2/gpr100208.html

About half of all U.S. women having an abortion have had one previously. This fact—not new, but dramatically underscored in a recent report from the Guttmacher Institute on the characteristics of women having repeat abortions—may surprise and concern some policymakers, even prochoice ones. However, policymakers should be more disturbed by the underlying fact that the unintended pregnancy rate in the United States is so high, and that so many women experience repeat unintended pregnancies. Some of these pregnancies end in abortion and some end in unintended births. Indeed, it is not uncommon for a woman to experience both of these outcomes, as well as one or more planned births, during her lifetime.

Both men and women lack access to the most effective birth control. Studies have shown that providing such birth control reduces abortion dramatically. The most effective birth control is the most expensive, at least in the short term. BC like IUDs are less expensive in the long term, but the initial expense is too much for many.

Fifty-four percent of women having abortions used some method of contraception during the month they became pregnant. The tiny sliver of all sexually active women not practicing contraception (11%) accounts for the remaining half of all abortions.
According to the 2006 Guttmacher Institute report Repeat Abortion in the United States, women having a second or higher-order abortion are substantially different from women having a first abortion in only two important ways: They are more than twice as likely to be age 30 or older and, even after controlling for age, almost twice as likely to already have had a child. (Among all women having an abortion, six in 10 are mothers.)
Just as with women having their first abortion, however, the majority of women having their second or even their third abortion were using contraceptives during the time period in which they became pregnant. In fact, women having a repeat abortion are slightly more likely to have been using a highly effective hormonal method (e.g., the pill or an injectable).

That's right. While it is true that 1 out of 4 women in America have had an abortion, nevertheless the majority of abortions in the country come from a much smaller subset of women, the so-called "repeaters". If you could deal with them you could prevent more than half of the abortions that are occurring.

So while most women who have had an abortion have only had one, it is also paradoxically true that the majority of abortions that happen are repeat abortions. Many of these women have had 3, 4, or 5 abortions, sometimes much more than that. Not uncommonly, some of these women eventually become unable to get pregnant again because the inside of their uterus is covered in so much scar tissue, so the abortions come to a stop.

Tubal ligation should be provided by the government for free.

These threads are annoying and it is tempting to start counter threads:

"Women who die in pregnancy and labor."
"Women who kill their newborn babies"
"Women who kill all their children from post-birth depression"
"Women who commit suicide from post-birth depression"
"Women crippled for life by pregnancy and labor"

And then we can debate which is worse:

    1. Post-abortion depression

    OR

    2. Post-birth conviction for murder, dying, being crippled for life and suicide.

The difference is, now, women can pick the risks she is willing to take. ProLifers want all girls and women forced to risk #2. And if she does die, they declare it was God's will. And if she kills her children and/or commits suicide they claim it is because she didn't know Jesus. They will deny they caused it. ProChoice forces no woman to do anything, it is her life to decide - and risk.

Girls and women who die in pregnancy and labor can't make YouTube videos, can they? So I guess they don't exist, even though 500,000 women per year die and 5 million are crippled for life by pregnancy and labor.

Advocating free sterilization of women but not free contraceptives is not only as radical religous zealotry as it gets, but expresses very open contempt and hatred of women in my opinion.

It reminds of sterilizing Native American women as a government policy and reminds of a couple (ex couple) we know. 6 children. Low income but not on benefits. While she was still under the influence of drugs they gave her by surprise (she stating she wanted no drugs), they had her scribble an elligible signature authorizing tubal ligation, never speaking to her husband about this and her having no idea she had signed anything. Although a good marriage before, they divorced less than 2 years later - her declaring she had been destroyed, the children bounced between them and her going on suicide watch. Ultimately all the children with the father and she went reclusive seeing herself as violently assaulted and multilated by sadists - who had also murdered all her future children, which in a sense was accurate in such regards. Even though she was so drugged she had no clue what they told her to sign - she also blamed herself anyway.

It also had shattered their sex life which entirely revolved around the rythm method and they could literally state the date each of their children had been conceived. Most of the time no sex, and the hot wild sex when it safe - or if wanting another child when she could get pregnant. That also taken away from the both by people like you portray in your message.

Why? The hospital decided she had enough children and was doing her a favor. They also thought she was indigent - so saving the hospital the cost of another child birth. They paid the bill. All other children born at home with a midwife - even a successful breach birth, but the 6th pregnancy the fetus has the cord wrapped around a leg and the midwife said for license regulations she couldn't do it.

Your kind of people drugged her and sterilized because they believed she couldn't pay the bill. They didn't bill her for being sterilized.

With your message advocating free sterilization of women (only women) but not contraceptives indicates the core of your messages is bitter hatred of women - and the abortion topic is an excuse to express it.
