Isn’t it their constitutional right to carry concealed weapons? How else can they defend themselves against the terrorists?

    I guess you're joking.

One thing to note about female Muslim dress, if you're even in one of the more tolerant cities in the ME like Dubai, you'll see nice-looking women with makeup on, wearing an open-faced burka type deal (sorry the dress may be called something else, but it resembles a burka) and it seriously messes you up. I asked a local buddy of mine if I can talk to those girls, and he said no lol

On topic, yeah the government doesn't need to be banning anything like this, and infringing on civil liberties.

the camera's\witnesses would see them and make identifying them afterwards easier, shoplifters, assaults, ect.....

it would make me uncomfortable as I could not identify them if they assaulted me or something

20 people come in in a burka, one assaults you, steals your wallet, ect......... try to prove which one in court would be a nightmare even if caught on camera

I just would not trust them as I could not see their face

    - - - Updated - - -

those that hide their face from others look suspicious and do not gain ones trust.... has nothing to do with fear

So you want to outlaw such as ski masks, nylon stockings, Halloween masks, and long wigs too?

I do not want to outlaw Burka's and kkk outfits

I want store owners to be able to say you must take face masks off to enter the store

you can wear your ski mask up to the bank door, but to enter you have to take it off

Thanks, Fresh Air. It's actually the Niqab I saw. The Burka is almost as bad, but at least it isn't a big black blob; a security officer might be able to tell if something was concealed under a Niqab.

Interesting that the Niqab is favored by the Wahhabis, the sect that is so fond of terrorism.

Wahhabis aren't terrorist, but you have a lot of ignorant European Muslims calling themselves Wahhabis who don't know a thing about them or what they believe.

Burkas are an extreme oppression of women. Ban them.

From what I've read Wahhabis in Saudi can be rather intense and demanding.

I think it's the other way around. At least with the niqab you see the eyes. the burga just has a screen, so you can see almost nothing. Coloration of all of those varies.

Only partly. Muslim Americans have the same rights as any other Americans (theoretically!).

Burkas are more cultural than Islamic. Possibly those women not wearing burkas aren't from the ethnic group that wears them. Also,, are confusing burkas with niqab or hijab? Common mistake.

Many Muslim women don't wear face or head coverings at all, especially those from more liberal families.

Are they beekeepers? If they have the right to wear these get-ups then we have the right to make fun of them don't we?

BTW that NiQab looks more like a Ninja...:roflol:

It's the Niqab that bothers me the most.

    - - - Updated - - -

I have wondered if they have a protective function in hot areas; also, IMO the eye netting would keep out insects.
