Possibly, but all this tells me is that the people involved used the gun as a crotch rather than a tool. As a CCW holder, I am very aware of my surrounding and will only pull out my firearm when it is the last option. Before that, my first weapon is my brain in which I would use but still resolve the issue to my advantage. Nothing like yelling "consumer fraud" at a business when there is a dispute of a charge while at the same time calling my attorney to report the fraud.

Live by the gun, die by the gun.

"Discretion is the better part of valor" someone once told me. Armed people walk in, I give 'em the $25. Good chance I'm still breathing. I might get more bold if they walk in unarmed and I have the gun.

Meanwhile, thousands of other guns killed no one today. See, when people have context, they're not irrationally afraid of things.

It will matter in court, however the owner of the store has a right to protect it. Interested to see how this plays out.

and the customer has the right to stand his ground, it all comes down to who drew their gun and shot first.....

It would seem your excusing these peoples behavior, and focusing on putting blame on the gun. I agree with you that if there was no guns these people would only have gotten bruised up. However, they had guns. This is exactly what the democrats need to feed on. However it is not a gun problem, it is the mishandling and responsibility thereof. It is only obvious that a gun store is not a place to lose one's temper.

You are assuming that the customer is a "law-abiding citizen." That said, yes, of course any person is capable of behaving badly. Likewise, any law abiding citizen can drive their car into a crowd of people. Do you blame cars for that?

Will you make that same argument about cars? Angry drivers cause a great deal of damage and have been responsible for killing innocent people.

Without knowing the specifics of the situation, all you have is speculation.

    - - - Updated - - -

What evidence do you have to support this speculation?

    - - - Updated - - -

    Pure speculation.

There are hundreds of ways to kill a person - mankind has been doing that since, well, forever.

I'd be surprised if the store owner shot first. Not saying it's not possible, but I'd be very surprised. Considering he's now dead, the likely scenario is the customer got the drop on the store owner. But wow, what a crazy story.

No it probably doesn't. The article suggests that there was likely a physical altercation before the shooting. Unless the mom can say she heard enough of the conversation that clarifies who did what first in that regard, this will probably end up being one of those DOA at the grand jury cases.

    No it doesn't.

Are you even vaguely familiar with what the word 'prove' means.

If someone snaps and starts shooting people it proves THAT person could do it...not that EVERYONE could do it.

Please stop and think before you spout out your anti gun nonsense.

    More fantasy land from you....

There are criminals out there so this isn't possible and thus we need to be allowed to defend ourselves. It may not always work out for the best, but I still have a right to defend myself.

$25 charge is not anything to cry over or to shoot over. It may be upsetting or bewilderment, but not something to pull out a pistol to prove your point.

I'm reminded of the tradition of the pistol duel. They had a disagreement and settled it the honourable way!

While this is a tragedy it does tell us all what value gun owners appear to place on human life.
