The GOP primary vote in South Carolina contained some fundamental bad news that should really worry the GOP. South Carolina is about 68% white. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_South_Carolina But the GOP primary voters were 96% white, according to exit polls. http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/primaries/SC That is the sign of a party WAY out of touch with the population. And that should worry Republicans, of all stripes.
Which is a problem. When your support is entirely drawn from a single demographic -- when you have ZERO support among a demographic representing 1/3 of the population -- that's an issue. And it shows that the GOP has made zero progress on this in the last eight years.
This also may be part of the reason that blacks on average are doing worse than all other Americans - blindly loyalty to Democrats. NO Democrat officials and NO Republican officials have any political reason to care what black Americans want or need. Blacks have no bargaining tools, nothing, no more than a rock has. In the primary? They vote for Clinton because their white Democratic masters told them to. They do what they are told. Republicans would be foolish spending an hour or dollar seeking the black vote. They should only seek votes from free people.
You don't know what you are talking about. Blacks are 13% of the population, not 33% - and they are the lowest turnout voters. They are the least relevant in demographics and totally irrelevant in terms of campaigning. In real terms they are maybe 6% of the vote. There is no reason for any national candidate on either ticket to pay any attention to blacks. This is why minority focus in terms of government by Democrats is on Latinos and Muslim-Americans. Other than throwing some words as crumbs towards blacks, Democrats will do nothing for them. They have no reason to. Masters don't serve their servants. Its only the other way around.
I think Trump can do better with blacks than any GOP president since Nixon in 1960 when he got 32%. He has a message about bringing jobs back from overseas which resonates with many of them.
They could matter in large swing states like PA, OH, VA, NC, and FL. If Romney won 20% of blacks instead of 6% of blacks he might have won FL.
Trump problems are well past just the Black vote. The Latino vote is solidly in the Democratic column as well largely over immigration reform which Latino's self identify as their number one issue. I'm waiting to see what Rubio does as the general gets closer. He has desperately distanced himself from his own immigration package for the primaries which forfeits much of the Latino support he enjoyed getting himself elected to start with. The Republicans have positioned themselves in a deep hole in the Electorial college and appear to dug in deeper with a narrow, diminishing voter profile of their supporters. I don't see how they remain relevant in Presidential politics on this trajectory.
In the meantime the Repubs made the showing again in now the 3 State that voted with a Massive voter Turnout for Republicans. That which the Demos have yet to re-enact.
LOL What should worry liberals is that the Republican primaries have had huge turnouts, and the Democratic primaries have had weak turnouts. While your candidates do little dances and beg for minority votes while barely beating each other, Trump just keeps racking up supporters and sweeping primaries.
The Democrats have not won the majority of the white vote since 1948. Why? Because your ideals and platform completely sucks to the average informed American voter. They're not buying what you're trying to sell. And, the only way you can ever see the inside of the White House is through minority voters, and low turnout for white voters. The problem is, Hillary isn't Obama. And the Republicans have had record turnouts, due to Donald Trump. .
73% of the Black families are on Welfare. 70% of the Black males have some record of arrest or ail time. The Black community has a population of fatherless kids, once called bastards. As a group they do poorly in schools and most fail tho graduate even when the educational requirement tend to mean only that they attended regularly. They represent an enormous social problem. Their leaders do not want to change the way things are. They work hard to say Slavery was the problem, and a present discrimination (which is so invisible we can not see it), is there, according to them. These leaders believe these things themselves because they have been treated the way bastards are treated by the social forces, especially the police. Hence these leaders are organizing and supporting and condoning an ever larger Black Movement against communities which they see as White people, in general. White Americans do need to support some candidate who sees that social problems in the Black community are never going to improve unless Welfare ceases and some new policy which encourages marriage replaces it. Obama has demonstrated he has not done this, but has sided with the Blacks against Law and Order.
What is a "Democrat" official ? Never heard of one. When you say " and NO Republican officials have any political reason to care what black Americans want or need. Blacks have no bargaining tools, nothing, no more than a rock has" are you admitting that Whites get free stuff because Whites have an ear with Republican officials. So all of those stories that Obama has been giving out "free stuff" to Blacks for the last seven years is not true ? I am shocked.
I shall put aside most of your rants for now. Where are your statistics that show that 73 % of Black families are on welfare ? So you want the government to get involved with marriage as a policy or with marriage policies ?
? http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/viewSubCategory.asp?id=1672 The rise of the welfare state in the 1960s contributed greatly to the demise of the black family as a stable institution. The out-of-wedlock birth rate among African Americans today is 73%, three times higher than it was prior to the War on Poverty. Children raised in fatherless homes are far more likely to grow up poor and to eventually engage in criminal behavior, than their peers who are raised in two-parent homes. In 2010, blacks (approximately 13% of the U.S. population) accounted for 48.7% of all arrests for homicide, 31.8% of arrests for forcible rape, 33.5% of arrests for aggravated assault, and 55% of arrests for robbery. Also as of 2010, the black poverty rate was 27.4% (about 3 times higher than the white rate), meaning that 11.5 million blacks in the U.S. were living in poverty.
Above is the link that says 73% of these Black families are on Welfare. The reason the Black leaders do not even acknowledge this, and why the Media says nothing about it, is "pretend fathers" exist. Pretend fathers are men who father children but live away from the family, while still have sexual relationships with the mother. They pretend that means a child can say it has a father. Since money is involved here, everyone is silent in spite of what we see happening on the streets among the black killer gangs in the cities.
Yes, you do. The Black leaders do. The president and the attorney general do. Hillary also ignores the problem, but calls for support. The college kids do not want to see what this Black Lives Matters is really about. It s all shoved under the rug as voices are raised because it is called "rants." The High School Drop-Out Crisis Black Male Achievement Gap Statistics What Researchers Are Saying High School Drop-Out Crisis Despite significant progress over the past decade, graduation rates for African-American and Hispanic students remain very low in many states and significant gaps persist. In an era of limited opportunities for those without high school diplomas to find jobs, one third of African-American students and 30 percent of Hispanic students are still not graduating high school. http://www.pbs.org/pov/americanpromise/photo_gallery_background.php?photo=4#.Vc_H_4gViko
Jake, I was talking about South Carolina, where blacks are 30% of the population. And saying the problem is that "blacks are stupid" or "do whatever their masters tell them" is simultaneously stupid, offensive and an example of why the GOP has trouble appealing to minorities.
It really doesn't matter if Hell or Bernie win the SC primary, because they won't win the state in the general election.
Even if true, not winning a majority is way different than not winning ANY. And your bit about the White House might ring truer except for the fact that the Democrats have controlled the White House for 16 of the last 24 years. You have basically just accused minorities of being ignorant and uninformed -- and then wonder why minorities don't think much of you or your party. As for primary turnout -- please provide some links showing that primary turnout is predictive of ANYTHING in the general.
