Mr Brown did one helluva job speaking from the heart as he introduced the president in Milwaukee on Thursday. Watch the video and perhaps you too can "swallow your pride" and give up the bitterness and resentment for something that likely affects you not in the least, but does millions of others. Compassion - it's a good thing.

Brent Brown never voted for President Obama. But after recovering from a serious autoimmune disease, he wrote the President to thank him for the quality health care he got through the Affordable Care Act.

To be fair they could have addressed the "pre-existing condition" issue without ACA.

How, without going with The Heritage Foundation recommendation of the individual mandate?

Not to mention a number of other measures to insure more people and bring (not right away, but ULTIMATELY) health care costs down and keep the industry honest.

When he eventually dies, they (GOP) will have him stuffed and mounted … so they can vilify him relentlessly forever along with President Barack Hussein O'Bama ...

Yes, especially in states that expanded Medicaid they certainly have.

Hospitals are having to treat fewer and fewer charity cases - what do you think happens?

They make record profits initially, but ultimately they charge less per procedure resulting in lower insurance premiums.

You cons used to HATE freeloaders -- what happened?

Pushing the burden onto some one else is not lowering costs...

    How so?

What's debunked about it? It's essentially what RP was saying - and TeaFleas in the audience howled with delight!

No it is not and some idiot plant or not in a large crowd does not represent anything.

Please explain how having some people pay more and have others not pay at all is lowering costs.. Its just pushing the burden even more onto others.

I have been where this guy was. Needing health care with no insurance and no way to pay because I couldn't work. In the end I got the care that I needed and the doctors and hospitals wrote the cost off as they have been doing for decades.

Mr. Brown would not have died but he, rather than the whole federal government, may have done bankrupt and struggled for a few years but 0-care is killing the economy and 0 likes that.

So basically you expected the hospital to give you free care. How very Conservative of you.

They're something are they not? A conservative freeloading on all the rest of us who are paying for health insurance.

"Oh.. the hospitals just write it off".

WRONG - they raise their prices and everyone else pays.

Damn freeloaders are what made my insurance go up 20-30% per year prior to the ACA.

For many years, the insurance companies have allowed the hospitals to change $50 for a ban Band-Aid so that the hospitals could provide care for people that happened to be without insurance at the time. Over the years I have paid more in insurance premiums than the care that I received cost but when I needed care I was out of the loop for two years.

How compassionate of you to have me die in the gutter to help you get socialized health care. Sorry I couldn't help..

Oh you helped all right. Your "write off" ended up making care more expensive for others making it possible to enact some changes. Good for you Conservative Obama hater!

One would think that a so-called self-reliant conservative would understand these things.

IR admits that's why hospitals have to charge 50 bucks for a bandaid, yet feels perfectly fine freeloading on the rest of us.

You didn't refer to the idiot cheering for death at Ron Paul's statement as a "plant"?

    Fine - see ya.
