I do not smoke, do any type of drugs, or drink alcohol, and I don't believe there should be stupid laws like this.

The Democrats in California are constantly banning stuff, raising taxes, and increasing regulations.

They are nothing but a bunch of control freaks.

I just witnessed an FDA spokesman on TV being critical of ecigs because "they are a highly addictive tobacco product".

This is what your tax dollars are paying for, people. Idiots in the government who are too stupid to know that there is ZERO tobacco in ecigs.

It's your money, folks. Makes ya feel good all over to pay high salaries to morons!

Democrats never get tired of telling other people what to do.

The republican War on Drugs and now-dead since Lawrence v. Texas sodomy laws called for you.

    Didn't leave any message.

The Democrats are big fans of the war on drugs. There are a lot of unionized workers fighting it.

Yes, and? I never said dems weren't involved.

The origins of the WOD are squarely republican, the intensification of it over time has been primarily republican, the most vocal supporters of if have been republicans, the clown who help up a prop baggy of crack cocaine (bought only a block from the white house!) was a republican and those who continue to resist decrim, harm reduction and sentencing reform are overwhelmingly republican.

The Democrats expanded the war on drugs. Yet you to assign them no culpability.

Yes, some of them did. I don't dispute that. But far and away this lies at the feet of Republicans. That's simple reality.

That, and the ones still pushing it with two-fisted, head-up-the-ass glee are Republicans.

You certainly have a more sensible position than the person I originally responded to who referred to it as the Republican war on drugs.

But the "war" needs to end.

Indeed, it does. I see the damage it causes every time I pull a shift, and others like me are speaking out about it.

The only drugs we shouldn't allow freely into society are those which have proved time and time again that they will do nothing more than destroy.

    Example A: Methamphetamine

"Pervatin Epidemic of WWII" - Why Meth should be banned.

There are others, however, none have had the impact that meth has.

LSD, DMT, MAOI's, 25() Nbomes, Amphetamine, Ecstacy, Cannabis, Medical grade heroin (not the street stuff, there is a MASSIVE difference), Ketamine, etc are all fine, METH is not.

The Republican war on drugs, huh?
What happened, democrats legalize drugs, then republicans came back and made them illegal again?

Oh wait, Dems have been enforcing the same laws, since forever.

    Way to fail.

"My body, my choice" only seems to hold up on the abortion issue when it comes to hack left-wing hypocrites.

Our country's in shambles right now. I don't think things have been this bad since 1928(before the Great Depression).

You can blame the flow on the southern border. There's nothing wrong with fighting the war on drugs. But tobacco isn't an illegal drug.

The first uses of the term war in association with narcotics was used during the administration of FDR. It was Nixon who lessened the penalties for drugs in the 70s. Lastly it was outcry from the black community in the urban areas during the crack epidemic that once again led to a tightening of the laws.

    So as you were saying???

The one thing that vaping has shown us is that the anti-smoking people were and still are simply totalitarian (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s who get personal pleasure by telling people what to do. Vaping has helped people stop smoking cigarets but that wasn't the solution the anti-smokers wanted.
