WASHINGTON (AP) -- Hillary Clinton has a message for Donald Trump: keep on talking. She's just weeks away from wrapping up the Democratic presidential nomination, and friends, aides and supporters describe a candidate who isn't particularly rattled by what she expects will be Trump's increasingly direct attacks on her marriage and husband's personal indiscretions.

In fact, Clinton believes that she can turn Trump's deeply personal assaults to her benefit, they say, particularly among suburban women who could be crucial to her hopes in the fall. Her plan is never to engage in any back-and-forth over the scandals. Instead, she'll merely cast him as a bully and talk about policy.

"I don't care what he says about me, but I do resent what he says about other people, other successful women, who have worked hard, who have done their part," she told an audience in Louisville, Kentucky, this month.

Awww-poor poor Hillary is just the victim, isn't she? She has called both Bernie and Trump sexist and racist-and yet when the arrows are flying in her direction its time for the high road.

She's such a tough leader that she's putting her husband (who cheated on her) in charge of the economy. And now she can't stand up to Trump.

She isn't particularly likable, she's running a poor campaign, and now Trump can take pot shots at her at will. Trump will do it strategically, in ways that benefit him. Hillary appears weak and helpless-and I doubt that will endear her to anyone, including women voters.

Hillary is one of, if not, the most flawed candidate Ive ever seen. Trump is equally flawed.

    America Loses 2016.

Regardless of how you view either candidates politics-whatever Hillary is doing isn't working, whatever Trump is doing seems to be.

Hillary needs to worry more about beating Sanders in the coming weeks. If Sanders wins or is even close then Hillary needs to worry about uniting the party in some way that won't make the socialists into sellouts that can support her. Otherwise it could be a violent and dirty convention, which would be f'ing hilarious, after all the grief liberals caused about the so-called divide on the Republican side...

Did you catch the videos of how Bernie and his supporters/delegates were treated in the Nevada primary?

She could not care less about them-she's expecting them to shut up and fall in line.

Trump is flawed, but not nearly to the extent as Clinton. She is pure evil! Trump is not perfect, but he is an America First person, Hillary is scum!

I laughed at Sanders' Savages and their supposed actions in Nevada, I'm still on the fence as to whether or not that was a Clinton false flag operation. It seemed just the sort of sleezy thing the Clinton campaign would do, since they really can't come right out and demand Sanders drop out; since she stayed in the race so long against Obama. I'm also curious how the socialists that back Sanders will justify their selling out if they vote for Clinton in Nov, because that's exactly what it would be. Well since most liberals are unrepentant hypocrites they won't even bother trying to explain it...

No it's not. When this attack doesn't gain traction, he'll move on to something else (just like he did with the Bill Clinton rape allegations).

Trump gets to decide what attacks to make and Hillary will sit there quietly and lose.

She could, depends on the attacks Trump has used. Depends on what the context of the attacks, and what they can be translated into. It's simple to see how Trump has run his campaign. He has made promises in incredibly simplistic ways, dumbed down so even the high school dropout could understand it. And he has managed to add entertainment value. Something Trump has heavily relied on is social media. Look at how much Trump has taken to Twitter to whine when Megyn Kelly treated him "unfairly" or when Elizabeth Warren called him out. Twitter has been the Donald's main source of promotion. It's been proven time and time again that simplistic, entertaining tweets are more popular, more shared, more trendy, than well-thought out, more complex tweets.

Catering to the dumb, frustrated, and lazy, The secret to the success of Trump's campaign. So watered down even a caveman could understand.

What you call whining is seen by his supporters as him being the underdog and doing well.

People love an underdog, especially when the other guy is basically the darth vader of politics.

As for those dropouts, I agree that many Bernie supporters are going to Trump.

She was supposed to be the shoe in back during the 2008 election. And yet she started to lose race after race and eventually Obama ran away with it.

I think she knows its happening again. Maybe one of her staffers will write a book about whats going on at Hillarys HQ afterwards. :smoking:

Trump lost all credibility when he cried like a baby and refused to go to a debate because they might ask him questions he doesn't like, lol. Hillary knows what she's doing. Her best bet is to just let Trump keep talking. She's not going anywhere, except to the Oval Office.

    She's right.

The last place she needs to be is in the sewer that Trump lives in.

She may be a bit nervous at the moment.

But she has Bill. And Bill will play Trump like a violin.

Did I say anything about Bernie's supporters going over to Trump? No, and I doubt they will.

If Trump's supporters thought Trump was being a underdog when he was b*tching about being treated unfairly (when he was getting equal treatment as the rest of the candidates at the debates) then they need to grow up.

Nah, Bill has lost his magic. He was cool in the 90s but nowadays he just looks like a cranky old fool.

Sure, she knows. Corrupt, diabolical people like Hill aren't stupid. They know how the game is played. I'm sure she also knows who's behind the FBI investigating her to, but not a thing she can do about it.

Latest polls say 20% of Bernie supporters will vote for Trump. Im betting at least the same number, if not more will stay home.

Those kinds of numbers matter in a tight election.

Trump has been flapping his gums since he entered the race, and here he is.

In the mean time, Canks can't even seal the deal with dems.

She does not know what she's doing-she's running a horrible campaign and alienating Bernie supporters-who she kind of needs to win.

Trumps already leading with independents, and has taken a significant portion of blue collar dems.
