While I'm for trans-rights with regards to most sectors of life, sports and physical/athletic competition shouldn't be one of them. Well, sort of. And here is where my blatant sexism comes into play. Born-Men individuals shouldn't be allowed to compete in female sports, but born-females should be allowed to compete (if able) with men.

There are inherent immutable physical characteristics that men and women don't share. Men will (generally) have an edge over women when it comes to muscle mass.

If I were a women racing someone who was born a male, I would be pissed.

IMO Identify however you want it doesn't bother me, use any bathroom you feel comfortable with doesn't bother me. But you have to compete as the physical gender of your birth.

Probably not, but in practice when it's a guy on girl, that guy is always sent packing without hesitation. Will be interesting to see when the inevitable inconsistencies of gender "identification" reveal themselves, and they will.

In amateur tennis tournament play someone can play down to an age group that is younger than their own. But no one from that younger group can play up among the older players. It's an unfair advantage. Same principle.

No, in an attempt to coddle the girls crying foul, the left will rewrite the rules and allow the females a 5 second head start. Then the boys will cry foul and by the time it's all said and done, the left will just stop the sport in its entirety. I miss the days when common sense was allowed in schools and government.

Put it this way. I think being a prejudiced person is harmless... it's a thought or maybe a slogan on a t-shirt. Yet, when you apply your prejudice in a manner that affects your peers (employment opportunity) it's a problem.

Big difference in those two scenarios Venom. We are allowing them to do alot more than just wear a TShirt that says I'm a girl. You yourself have even said you would side with the facts in competition. Those facts are that Men have an Advanatage in some areas.

Seems the identifier is pointless, when people will still side with the Biological facts doesnt it? Just something people say, to sound good and not hurt feelings, but obviously not really believeing that this person is what they identify as...or you'd give them the full plate.

Well, I think this is just a case of detractors wanting us to give the full plate so they can say "Look, I told you it was a bad idea", and that may be why you're adamant about not acknowledging the differences in identity and action. I don't have a problem with gender identity... I have a problem with it's application when used to slight others. Women are not harmed if a man identifies as a woman. It's not something that just happened this year... men have been at this for decades. However, women are harmed if these hybrids decide to start competing in things restricted to women.

 

Shame on him and everyone who accommodates and applauds this nonsense.
