The profit motive resulted in those deaths. Since it is unprofitable to serve certain portions of a population, those portions are neglected, and so starved under the capitalist model. The rate of starvation pre capitalism was higher, but that doesn't say much because the starvation rate was higher prior to the implementation of other modern models.

We should eliminate corporate taxes, but the rich should be taxed more. Nonsense, we need those so called "Liberal budgets" Welfare is actually good for the economy, as it creates more consumers, not to mention without welfare we'd see people living like the third World within the U.S.A. Education makes more productive citizens. Without healthcare spending, we'd see citizens dying from treatable illnesses. We need infrastructure to help keeping America running smoothly.
