An unsecured loan cost more because there's a bigger risk to the lender when there's no collateral. Why do oh so smart college kids find that oh so hard to grasp?

Hillary is dangling the free tuition and loan forgiveness carrot in front of snowflakes so we shall see on this.

You think the government is the answer to everything and should employ everybody? Government is bigger than ever and sucking our economy dry. You truly are a communist.

And what was it before Gen-X? The dumbass boomers didn't know what to do with the technology. The statement is true, we basically invented the internet. The economy was (*)(*)(*)(*) and we weren't about to take it lying down. We took the internet as a new possibility and ran with it. Look at all the major Internet companies. With few exceptions they were all started by generation X.

That is the biggest difference between Gen-X and melenials we actually have confidence and initiative. Our parents might have neglected us a little but we learned how to fend for ourselves.

You used existing technology brought to you by previous generations and many of those uses are very non productive and a complete waste of the technology bestowed on you. This Pokemon craze is a good example.

Oh don't see too many Gen-X playing Pokémon go. Remember the cut off is early 80s birth. Boomers didn't know what the hell to do with the internet. They thought of it as a toy and something to use to write research papers.

A student loan is secured. It is about the only kind of loan you can't get rid of in a bankruptcy.

I was talking about the billions of dollars wasted and misplaced in every department. The $500 hammers. The $100 million to study why spiders have eight legs. The list is endless.

Government is grossly inefficient. Money down a rat hole.

I disagree regarding Martha Stewart. She was targeted as a scapegoat for financial manipulators early on as a sop to an ignorant public while those who deserved it infinitely more remained untoutched, but accepted imprisonment and made the best of it, even teaching other inmates how to cook.

Who is hiring these illegal workers in factories and construction sites? Why are they not being held accountable for violating the law?

Boomers invented the internet and were the earliest users and put in all the hard work to make it a reality. Denying that they knew what they were doing is disingenuous.

The function of government is to promote the General Welfare and protect We the People from corporate greed and avarice. Pretending that it should be something that it was never intended to be is disingenuous.

I am denying that. The boomers couldn't do (*)(*)(*)(*) with it. It's my generation that made the internet what it is. Because unlike melenials we didn't sit on our assess in our parents basement complaining about the economy debt and other bull(*)(*)(*)(*). We went out and made a new economy. Melenials were first pegged back in 1989 in Ghostbusters 2. 'Ungrateful little YUPY larva.'

And actually scratch that I am denying it. The boomers didn't invent the internet. That was primarily the silent generation, my father's generation, born after the start of the depression and before the end of WWII. Look at the big names in the development of the internet Kahn, Curf, Zimmerman etc. They are almost all silent generation born in the depression or WWII. The depression and rationing of WWII made that generation some hardy mother (*)(*)(*)(*)ers. My dad had one (*)(*)(*)(*)ing toy as a kid and he was doing better than most.

All the boomers ever did was lose a war that was won, and liquidate, corporate, and outsource the country.l that the previous 2 generations had built. They suck as bad as melenials.

You are entitled to your opinion, no matter how misinformed.

    Here are the facts.

Two things that Gen X are known for are whining and bitterness.

Fortunately that is only a small minority of them.

Except for WWW those techs aren't really Internet related. The PC was a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing toy before gen-X launched us into the internet age. And WWW just sat around for years till generation X did something with it. Nice try though. You will have to do better than that.

From the silent generation to generation X taking over the technology stagnated. All this great progress from the 60s to early 70s and then (*)(*)(*)(*) until the mid 90s. Why? (*)(*)(*)(*)ing boomers.

Actually the PC market was (*)(*)(*)(*)ing dead before the internet. The PC was a toy.

The PC technology was being rapidly advanced during the 1980's because it needed to catch up to mainframes and then replace the monitors that were the primary means of interacting with mainframes. There was a massive infrastructure already in place and the PC, together with networks and the relevant software applications all needed to be developed by the Boomer generation.

To deny that processors were essentially doubling in power every 18 months owing to technological advances made by Boomers is disingenuous.

Without that technology the 90's boom would have been delayed but for the hard work on all aspects of exploiting the PC and providing it with the ability to communicate and provide productivity improvements across the board.

You are taking to a computer and electrical engineer Moore's laws was really driven by games since the 80s as soon as gaming transitioned to consoles and PC gaming switched to things that could run on a toaster like warcraft Moore's broke down. And it's not really innovation it's just take about 18 months to retool for further micronization. It's not innovation as much as it is polish.

I don't hate women, I just think women are incredibly bias'd in their political thinking. This bias, which renders selective judgment often makes it very difficult for impartial decision making. And the only way human society is going to work, is with impartial decision makers. Less bias=I'll trust you. So give up the tampon crusade for the domestic prosperity crusade. Who knows, you might even afford the tampons :D

Native Americans-I don't hate Indians. I find Ms. Warren's story to be opportunistic, but my thing with Warren is that she's a one-trick pony(regulation), doesn't bring anything else to the table and whines all the time.

Millennial(s): I admit, most of my generation is indeed the generation of snowflakes, cowards and incredibly intellectually perverse. I'm glad I graduated in 2010 because I think the recent graduates are even less prepared than I was to step out into the world. I think we're inheriting a very weak and disempowered Youth who won't accomplish much. And I'm coming from the SAME generation.

I can see my generation's faults. Dreams and ideals are wonderful, but you've got to find a way to accomplish them. Rhetoric means little, when it's not met to par with reality. In that sense, they and Bernie NEED each other.

I do hate BLM. It's a domestic terrorist group and has been since Ferguson. I hate any group(KKK included) that promotes violent, racist rhetoric that has done tremendous harm to the United States.

Oh and the first actual true innovation we saw in processor design was the multicore processor introduced by AMD in 2004. A company founded and run by the silent generation and staffed at the time with Gen-X engineers.

    Boomers suck.

    You still here?

I thought the mods would have dealt with you by now

    - - - Updated - - -

And the internet would be WHERE without that toy?

That's one of the dumbest statements I have ever heard.
