The Lord gave rise to humanity. Without Him, science would not exist. I urge those of you who have not meet our Lord and his Son, Jesus the Christ, to read the Holy Scripture.
Just not in any way you can demonstrate. I've already read the Bible. Yes, that collections of books is where your particular religious myths and related dogma come from. So what?
What evidence do you have to back your claim? If you say the Bible, then what evidence do you have that proves that the Bible contains the word of God?
Well by your logic then without the good lord evil, murder, famine, pestilence, rape, oppression, hate, war, etc. etc. etc. would also not exist.
To which Lord are you referring? The Lord of the Rings... the Lord of the Flies... your Landlord ???...
You need to have your cult pressure checked. The bible is not a book of facts, but a book of extraordinary claims and no evidence.
Just not in any way you can demonstrate. Religious faith is for cowards, the willfully ignorant, intellectual sloths, those with delusions of self-importance and/or those with emotional dysfunctions. repent verb (used without object) 1. to feel sorry, self-reproachful, or contrite for past conduct; regret or be conscience-stricken about a past action, attitude, etc. (often followed by of): He repented after his thoughtless act. Good advice.
ALL science is based somewhere on mathematics The very first example of algebra was found on the Plimpton 322 clay tablet, dated to about 1800 BCE, yes 1800 years before the word Christian had ever been used. So to be more accurate, it it wasn't for Apsu, Tiamat and Mummu, the gods of the Babylonians, science wouldn't exist.
According to the "science" in the Bible...... rabbits "chew their cud"? insects have "four legs"? and bats are "birds"?
without men God myths would not exist i also recommend everyone read the bible, read it twice, quickest way to see that it's nothign but myth is to actually read it cover to cover the first read will cause doubt, the second read will cause disbelief if the bible were the truth, when someone read it, they would just go... duh, why didn't I see that before, there would be no need to defend the bible, it would just make sense, why doesn't the bible do this, because obviously man wrote the bible, not a god .
you think if his believers had such respect for the man, they would call him by his real middle eastern name - you don't make up new names for people after they die, what shall we rename Albert Einstein too? that would be disrespectful..... 99% of Christians do not know his real name and think he was born on Dec 25th - lol .
Look at the original post "The Lord gave rise to humanity. Without Him, science would not exist. I urge those of you who have not meet our Lord and his Son, Jesus the Christ, to read the Holy Scripture." I simple showed, with tangible proof, that mathematics, which is the basis of science, existed prior to the first Christians. I just used algebra as an example, I could have also used the Babylonian knowledge of medicine and astronomy, the Egyptian knowledge of trigonometry or even further back to the Indus civilization in India of around 4000 BCE who made bricks in the proportion 4:2:1 which is the same proportions used today, and they got this exact dimension by using a ruler subdivided into 10 equal parts. Science has been with us a lot longer than 2016 years.
I checked the only other OP started by BLM....it's in Science and on that OP as well? He posted it...and then admitted he was going to abandon the thread... in his OP. Apparently, he's just a "hit and run" troll. Does an OP, maybe 1-2 responses...then bugs out.
I doubled checked and yes, God did create science. Science actually proves that god created it. It's also been confirmed by the Vatican.
Without the superstition of faith and religion we might have likely had reason lead us to scientific inquiry and added to our knowledge far faster than we did. See nature and the natural laws don't require any deity they would be true just because we live in the universe forged by natural and purely mechanical forces. Reason and its greatest tool scientific inquiry would come naturally to any sufficiently advanced species.
