Oh ... and moving forward, why require photo ID, which has to be updated with age, when it is so much easier to get an index finger print, for example, when people register, moving forward? Or, why not make an ID with a photo, for those without ID, immediately after they cast their vote?

 

People should have to show they are a citizen in order to vote. Period. Anyone who thinks otherwise simply wants to open the system to election fraud - and those people want to engage in election fraud.

 

Are you kidding me? if someone is too dumb to obtain an ID then they're too dumb to vote IMO.

Funny considering almost everyone that WORKS at the Secretary of States office (DMV) is NON-WHITE and MOST are black.....

Here in CA,. they can match your signatures. So of course you prove citizenship to register. It is very doubtful one can match a signature so that works at the voting site.

CA wants illegals to vote so they don't ask for proof to register to vote or to vote.

I did read the article and it's the same old crap...... Yeah, illegal aliens are having a difficult time obtaining ID's - BOO HOO. That is the whole damn point of voter ID laws.

Notice how progressives are fighting this - by giving anyone who demands an ID one regardless if they can prove they're here legally.

Of course it's not like voter ID laws will work in states like Illinois (and now Wisconsin) when they just hand out drivers licenses to illegals with no questions asked.... If it matters illegal aliens have an EASIER TIME obtaining an ID than US citizens here in Illinois....

But it the end progressives just want voter fraud because it's the only way they can win an election.

 

Try reading. I wrote "People should have to show they are a citizen in order to vote." I did not address registering to vote or any other precursor to voting, I did not mention photo ID, I addressed the actual act of voting.

On photo id, the simple fact is that it is not a burden. People show photo id all the time, including state issued ID that requires a birth certificate and proof of residency. If you want beer, you have to show ID.

Voting is important. If you want to vote, you get the proper proof you are a USA citizen and you get the proper credentials. If that is too much of a hassle then you should not be voting anyway.

If it were up to me, I would require birth certificate and proof of residency such as a utility bill in your name, and you must vote in person at your local polling office. The only exception is US military who can vote in person at their duty station. Is that too burdensome for you? Too bad, I don't care, people like you have so damaged the system that exceptional measures must be taken to insure the integrity of the election process.

 

WRONG - that is a flat out LIE..... The judge ordered they give free ID's regardless...... The same damn thing is happening here in Illinois...

Non citizens cannot REGISTER to vote. So ID or no ID, non-citizens cannot vote.

Right now, the illegals are Scott Walker and the people who are flaunting the law, by not providing ID for those who present to them to get an ID.
