Merkel is certainly not Germany's favorite leader as the latest polls have shown.

But Hillary is inspired by Merkel's collapsing of the German economy and overall society with waves of Muslim "refugees".

She plans the same thing for the US:

"Hillary Clinton plans to permanently resettle close to one million Muslim migrants during the first term of her presidency alone, according to the latest available data from the DHS.

The vetting process is a scam. Did vetting stop San Bernardino, Orlando, the New York bomber the Minnesota radical Islamist knifer?"

I think everyone's heard Trump talk about Merkel.............but nice try.

    from TruthRevolt.org by Tiffany Gabbay

"Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Hillary Clinton declared that German Chancellor Angela Merkel is "one of her favorite world leaders," confirming the comparison rival Donald Trump often draws between the two women.

When asked who her favorite world leader is and whom she would emulate as president, Clinton signaled out Merkel for her so-called "bravery in the face of the refugee crisis.":

"Look, I like a lot of the world leaders... One of my favorites is Angela Merkel because I think she’s been an extraordinary, strong leader during difficult times in Europe, which has obvious implications for the rest of the world and, most particularly, our country.... Her bravery in the face of the refugee crisis is something that I am impressed by."

I don't even know why I try. You Trump supporters are living proof that people will believe what they want to believe and disregard the rest.

Yet another reason as to why Hillary has no business running our country.

Maybe after such extensive NSA spying by the Obama regime, Hillary found out her and Merkel like the same lunch entrees. Otherwise there really no logical reason to pick Merkel...

Have said it before, but have to say it again:

Merkel is member of the CDU (Christian Democratic Union), which is the RIGHT party in Germany. So, before you think that praising Merkel makes you some kind of socialist, think again.

If that's an example of the "right" in Europe then they are REALLY screwed.

Are you talking about refugees? Yes, Germany is quite overwhelmed by the large number, about 1% of the population. In comparison, the US would have to take in about 35 million refugees, and people here are getting upset about 20,000.

Other than the refugee issue, Merkel has had quite good approval in the population, though. And her policies were very pro free market, and anti socialist. I would equate her with a blue-dog Democrat in the US. The fact that many in the US see her as a socialist is rather an indictment on how far off the deep right end a good number of the American population has gone.

OMG because she's like totally another woman world leader! Girl Power! Can't wait to see President Barbie. I'm definitely getting it for my niece. Remember there's a special place in hell for women that don't support eachother.

They're not refugees. I hope everyone realizes they won't be leaving Germany.

Banks aren't in very good shape either from what I've read, but granted I haven't looked into that a lot.

She is, above all things, just another globalist doing what she's told.

And who would it be exactly who is telling her what to do?

You know, In Germany elections still have meaning and are not just going to the highest bidder, unlike in the US.

You have to lay off zerohedge :).

Aside from this whole refugee affair, which she handled very poorly and recklessly, she's done other bad stuff too... Like how she decided to dismantle nuclear energy. disasterous. and iirc she's pushing for quotas for women in corporate boards also, which is bad.

those are things that I, as a conservative, strongly disapprove of. I'd say, she's not really conservative in any meaningful way.. She's a centrist, and a liberal. That's her strategy, to have a big-tent party, to take up the center ground. But honestly, would you really claim that Merkel herself, is a conservative? I mean, all politicians, if they want to be successful, have to follow the polls, but you can still get a feeling of what they really feel. I'd say someone like David Cameron is a genuine conservative. I can't say the same for Merkel. The way she speaks of things.. she does sound more like a liberal than a conservative.

Merkel was a good leader before she started destroying the country with her ridiculous immigration policies.

She needs to be hung for treason, at this point.

Yes, she is a centrist and pragmatist. Myself, I disapprove of the rushed nuclear energy pullout, but it was the will of the majority of the German people, so why would she stand against it? You see, many Germans actually like the concept of clean energy, as well as protecting the environment, whether they are on the conservative or liberal side. And they all remember the consequences of the Tschernobyl disaster, as the Swedes should probably even more so, since you received a large part of the fallout.

You can criticize Merkel for details,. but generally Germany prospered under her reign. And she is definitely not fiscally liberal, as the Greeks can certainly attest to.

The main lesson learned from chernobyl is that communist Russians are not responsible enough for nuclear energy. And also, the lesson learnt from Fukushima is that nuclear energy is risky in countries with earthquakes and tsunamis. Neither Sweden nor Germany are russian or communist, nor do we have earthquakes or tsunamis. newer nuclear technology is even safer today... And the most important part, it IS clean. Now, I haven't looked into this in any great detail, but I have heard that Germany has partly gone back to coal? genius move by the environmentalists there. And in Sweden, I am again not following it very closely, but I think I've heard that our reactors are maybe not going to get renewed, and thus eventually be phased out, and the result will be that we'll have to rely on russian gas or coal, like germany. I agree that clean energy, in europe atleast, isn't a left-right issue. But the way merkel handled it, recklessly, is more something you'd expect from the green party than the conservative party.

I mean liberal in the european sense. Social liberal. Her rethoric around the refugee issue... say what you want about it, but I wouldn't call it conservative in any meaning of the word.
